We were caught in the Thanksgiving snow storm and our flights were canceled for two days. Hampton Inn is super close to the DesMoines airport and has a shuttle so we chose this hotel. All of staff are extremely kind and accommodating and it feels like a family owned hotel. They made our inconvenient 2 days of being snowed in warm and comfortable.

Its an old hotel trying to look modern. There were holes in the sheets, dents in the walls and some paint missing. The ottoman smelled like urine. I parked the car as my party checked in. When I came in nobody was there behind the counter. During my entire stay, I never saw someome at the front desk. The only staff I saw was the housekeeper. We were woken up by someone pulling the fire alarm. While the shampoo, conditioner, soap brand is expensive, it ruined my hair, making it feel like straw. The beds were comfortable enough and the air temp was good. Soundproofing could be better.
