I booked the hotel at the hotel.com but the receptionist said that they didn't receive any money. The receptionist said they would ask the Hotel.com to refund the money to me while I had to pay cash. I hope they have done what they have said.
My first impression wasn't great since I have to keep changing room. When I first got to the room, there was no door lock at the door. Then they gave me another room, and there was no correct key at the room. Until they gave me the third room, things were settled.
I asked about the Wi-fi but it was in construction. So I stayed whole night without using Wifi. (It worked again on the next day).
The staff at the sister property across the alley are nice to deal with specifically the sales person/manager and head waiter.
Most staff at this actual hotel were unfriendly, unhelpful, and unprofessional.
1. My Orbitz/Expedia booking lists that we receive free buffet breakfast each day for the 2 guests (myself and girlfriend). The first morning the front desk told us there was no buffet and that we must order a room service breakfast. When we ordered we discovered that only 1 continental breakfast is free, we were charged 250 rupees for coffee and my girlfriends breakfast. Later in the day we went over to the sister property and the manager told us we were to be eating the buffet there each morning per our booking. When I asked for a refund from the manager back at our hotel he refused to give us our money back.
2. One day I ordered 2 bottled waters up to the room. It took over 45 minutes and 2 calls to front desk to receive them. The waters cost 40 rupee and when I handed the man a 100 bill he asked if I needed change. I said "of course I do, I am not going to tip you more than the waters actually cost for just walking them up here and also because I ordered them a long time ago". He scoffs at me and gives me a disgusted look. 15 minutes later he comes back up with my change and apologizes.
3. The hotel price is very good but even for that I expect a certain level of hygiene that was certainly missing from the room.
The room was clean but the bathroom was subpar. The staff was friendly and nice, Although they attempted to sell tourist train pass and were not helpful in organizing the train ticket from the station. Overall a decent experience and I would stay there again.
Excellent staff , very supportive , very friendly .

Hotel was a little difficult to find. The area was noisy, but typical New Delhi. The staff was very polite and gave me a complimentary upgrade (business was slow). The room was not very clean, but based on the rest of Delhi, it was average. The most annoying part of my stay was trying to book a tour to Agra. The agent connect with the hotel was rude and pushy. I finally went with another travel agent who gave me a better deal and the exact trip I wanted without trying to add extras. Food in the restaurant was pretty good and the location was very close to the metro and railway station.
I booked room in this hotel for my in-laws who are from Haryana and when they went for check in, hotel manager says that they don't give room to Haryana/Punjab people that was very racist comment and said that since you are old, I am showing pity on you by giving this room, what kind of manager is he? We are paying full money so don't need his sympathy or pity. if that's the case, they should have mentioned it on their site. Also other hotel staff were not professional, they don't know how to transfer call to hotel room and instead of saying it called our parents to reception and sometime keep us waiting on call and then hang up. I am seriously very disappointed with the hotel and its staff and would not recommend it to any one.
It was a pathetic experience to stay in this hotel. The location is very very congested.Staff is not at all friendly.
it is a very dirty place to stay .Moreover, they do not have even machines to accept cards. Not al all recommended.

average hotel
the standard of this hotel has been going down because management is not spending on maintenance of this hotel...mattresses are very bad..linen just about ok. rooms are average. laundry and food is expensive. STAFF is very good and responds to ur problems..but they too have a limit...anyway i am not choosing this hotel next time
We had to change the hotel to hotel Ajenta which belongs to same ownership, little better !paid 7800 rs more for 4 days. Delhi city hotel is very old and only basic. If u want to just sleep , go for it . Reception area looks like store room !!
Room and bedding were not clean. Looked nothing like the pictures on the booking.com page. Never again. Right next to an open air wedding venue. Very loud music until 03.00. NO sleep!
Short walk from New Delhi railway station. Lot of small time restaurants nearby. Very slow WiFi. There were no free tea/coffe and water provided. Bathroom looked dirty. Used the airport drop facility, it costs INR 600. It takes roughly 30 minutes to reach Delhi International airport (this is arounf 2 AM).
Overall okay for a night's stay.
The hotel does have 'day only' stay facility with reduced rate.
The hotel manager was a life-saver. After my friend and I learned we had been scammed, they worked with us to re-plan our entire trip, helped me contact my bank in Canada to cancel my credit card, found and installed a converter for us in our room so that we could use the internet for research and communication purposes, and on top of all that, they served us a warm meal, on the house! It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Hotel Delhi City Centre during our stay in Delhi. I couldn't have picked a better spot!
Hotels.com should inspect there listed hotel first
Worst stay till now through Hotels.com. While checking out they didn't accept our credit/debit cards as there machine was out of order. Receptionist told us 5 o click in the morning that the machine is out of order for last 3-4 days (that's not how you do business). There were mounds in the bathroom. The pictures posted on the hotels.com site are just simply a photoshops work. It's not even close to what they show it in the pictures. I would Not recommend it to anyone.
Never going back there.
This hotel was great! Its just off Arakshardam rd, so its a bit less noisy, but still within 10 mins walk from train stn. Room was clean, breakfast was delivered to our room, WiFi worked in the room, room had a fridge. We would stay here again. Only negative is that their "tourist information" just tried to sell you on their car service at expensive prices. Other than that, the staff was attentive and welcoming.
Railway station and metro within 10 minutes walk. Nice restaurants close by along with shopping. Hotel staff were very helpful and efficient. Wifi was good you just need to get a new code from reception each day. Clean and tidy room
Good for a few days stay. Cooperative staff, good food, clean Bathrooms. Poor neighbourhood though. Overall, great for the price.

Some of the friendliest people I met in Delhi
This place is obviously starting up, as a sister hotel to what looked like the more established Hotel Ajanta across the road.
Had some faults but these were easily ignored, partly as its so cheap but primarily by how brilliant the staff are. Genuinely friendly, always happy to help out and upgraded me to 'deluxe' room for free given they had some spare.
Rooms fairly basic but totally on par with the price of the place. Big bed, fridge, excellent a/c - although didnt actually need it as room cool enough with quieter ceiling fan (despite being high 30s outside), tv with loads of films on which helped in evening, decent location - particularly if get in/leave via new delhi train station. Given where it is it was also quiet at night which is an issue with a lot of hotels in that area.
Didn't have a restaurant although were directed to the one in it's sister-hotel which was nice (although slightly more expensive that other budget hotels I've stayed in in Delhi). Good enough food to go back though.
The one fault I will highlight is that the pick-up service I arranged from Delhi Sarai Rohilla was quite pricey plus it took me over 45mins to find the driver (although that bit isn't actually the hotel's fault). Shame as the drop off at the airport was much more reasonable. Easily rectified by being less lazy and getting a tuk-tuk though!
Overall would recommend as a cheap, hassle-free, friendly place to stay if you're after a few nights in Delhi on a budget.

It is located in very convenient location, close to the Delhi Railway and metro. I think the place needs a little repair and maintenance otherwise it is a very nice hotel.
This was just the type of place I was looking for: great location, nice budget hotel, wonderful staff, an nice hotel restaurant! I would recommend this to anyone staying in Delhi. The staff is the #1 reason to stay here - so helpful!!
The room was nice. Staffs were very friendly, specially Jack helped a lot regarding our trip to Agra and Jaipur. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here Insha Allah on our next visit.
i stayed with my family only one night there.first they confirm that they have free pick up from airport but at check in demand 600 rs for pick up and said it was a mistake.Bedsheet was dirty AND even the towels were not new were very old.but it is only good for one night stay as its cheap and in the center .Wifi did not work at all.despite telling them again and again

Great Location.
I used this hotel for 1 night in March 2015 and found it a good place for a stop over. It is in a good location and just 5 mins or so walk from the main entrance to New Delhi railway station.
The room was basic but in reasonable condition with clean comfortable beds and plenty of hot water for a good shower. It was not noisy as it is just tucked away on a side road so traffic noise was not an issue as is often the case.
I would use this hotel again.
