We had a great time in Del Mar and the house is welll located for this. it is noisy because of the nearby road, but we could cope with that. Main issues were that the house decoration and facilities are older than portrayed in the listing photos. The house was not that clean with stains on furniture. It needs a deep clean and some soft furnishings need replacing. The changeover clean needs to be better. For example glass mugs, china and cutlery were stained from poor washing or drying.

Very clean, quaint, spacious rooms, great decor. Location was great. Views from all angles were beautiful. Master room was huge with a whirlpol hot tub and separate shower. Made me feel so relaxed. I will rebook again.

We booked this home for a special family vacation and 50th birthday, drawn by the advertised jacuzzi tub—which unfortunately didn’t work our entire stay. The oven barely heated, and the house had a strong odor, stained sheets, and a blood-stained pull-out mattress in the downstairs bedroom. The bunk room was noisy due to foil on the ceiling and had cobwebs and spiders. Traffic noise and sirens made sleep difficult, and the outdoor areas were too dirty to enjoy. While the neighborhood was lovely and the host responsive, we had to accommodate extra cleaning and repairs during our stay, which impacted our privacy. For the price, we expected much better. This home needs serious maintenance.

Great home close to the beach

My friends and I had such a lovely stay in Del Mar. The house is less than 10 minutes from the beach and is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. It was perfect for a small group, including young children. Jacob & Nancy were very accomodating hosts and responded to our inquiries in a timely manner. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location, perfect for family w/ teens

We had a very nice stay in June 2025. Beds are comfortable, water for showers has good pressure and gets hot. Kitchen is well stocked with various appliances. Plenty of separate spaces for watching tv or hanging out without commandeering the space for all, but still room to all hangout together. Very nice! The location has great driving access to beaches and downtown san diego, which was perfect for us. Nearby eateries, grocery store and gas station made things easy. We loved Sea Grove park/beach nearby. Home was just as advertised. Lots of stairs, but not an issue for us. There are light touch sensors in a couple of places which threw us off, but easy once you know to look! I would highly recommend this home for adults and families with older kids/teens. Very fun stay

Centrally located and beautiful property

Our family had an amazing time at this property. It was close to the beach (about 1 miles/8 min drive). Close to a grocery store and easily accessible to the highway.Home was clean and welcoming and the home owner was very communicative and helpful. The shouse was spacious and the views were lovely. Our family had a really good experience at this property.

Beautiful for my daughters

We had a great time. The house is beautiful and has lots of room for all. Teenage girls had a BALL in the master bedroom and playing in the secret game room.
