If you're looking for a retreat to take a book and hang out on the property, this is the place! Amazing views and very quiet. The property has a pool, fitness center, lake with paddle boats and trails. If you're planning to explore the area, hiking, etc., it's 20 minutes of a drive down a mostly winding road to get to the main highway. For this reason, i rated location a 4. But for beauty and serenity, it would rate 5. Some of the home is a little dated, but it was super clean. Linens and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is too small if you want to do a lot of food storage or cooking, but if you're just doing breakfasts there, it meets the purpose. Overall, a very relaxing getaway.

What a great property. It was just as pictured and the view was amazing. We loved going down to the creek, visiting the pool, and meeting all of the friendly people who reside in the community. The community is a hidden gem. The only thing I didn’t realize, but didn’t matter was the washer and dryer are under the house and you must go outside, down some steps and back into a storage type space. I’m sure I just missed that detail. House was very clean and met all of our needs.

Over all it was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed it. The upstairs was a little warmer than we liked but overall it was perfect for our little family. I loved the Mountain View and over all feel of the home cabin! I loved the gated community and all of its amenities. We will definitely be coming back.

Comfy mountain home

Really enjoyed our visit. It may be a duplex but you wouldn’t know it. Awesome patio with huge grill overlooking the mountains. Gave us many incredible sunrise and sunset views. We found the WiFi worked great and didn’t experience any delays. I use Verizon and my mum uses another provider. Once we figured out the heat, it was perfect and it holds the temps well. Huge awesome fire places wonderful hiking trails inside the complex too. It may be an older build but it’s well maintained. It was perfect for the two of us and our dog.

Cozy cabin surrounded by nature

It's a cozy place with beautiful views. There are amenities in the resort such as swimming pool and campground with hikes where to enjoy nature, I guess particularly if travelling with kids. The description and recommendations are very accurate: you should be aware that the closest grocery store is about 20-30 mins (so they recommend you stop by before checking in), satellite internet service is limited (it rained and we lost signal for a few hours), the AC unit is portable and therefore noisy. But overall we enjoyed our stay a lot, including our dog. It was relaxing and we explored not only the immediate surroundings but Boone, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'd be happy to come back!

Comfortable older duplex cabin

Needs attention. Starts with street #-it's illegible & we passed it first time. Needs a Spring cleaning, Hughesnet is a tease of internet access, multiple devices impossible @2.37Mbps. Nice stove, no pots/pans. Bathtub drains clogged. Deck nails stick up 1/2" trip hazard. AC units cheap & makeshift. Newer gas grill. View outback is beautiful. Thought we could walk everywhere-it's miles to anything. But we did enjoy being with our small, housebroken dog. Rules & emails are suffocating.

Anniversary

There are several things that needs attention. They need to let renter's know that the cabin is older, theat it has a fire place and they need to bring firewood, not wait until you arrive especially in the weather they had. The cabin needs to be cleaned better, smells musky and of suet. We have stayed in better cabins for the same price. I apologize for being so negative. My husband has asthma and kept a headache. We did enjoy all the scenery.
