Staff was friendly at check in. An hour before check out they knocked on our room door to remind us of 11am check out. Breakfast was questionable coffee was thick and very heavy. Air conditioner in room was plugged into a six way electrical strip. Severe electrical hazard. Room mirrors were very streaky, towels had stains on them. The bed was made nicely and fairly comfortable. We did, however, enjoy the outdoor hot tub at night! Probably will not stay there again unless it’s the last option, like this time was.

I'm not sure I can really review the property properly since I was never checked in. I got there around 5 or 6 pm on the day of check-in and the whole lobby was dark and deserted. There was a phone with a note that said to dial 0 for check-in but when I tried it, I only got a busy signal. I spent 15 minutes walking around and talking with my traveling partner and still no one came out to check us into our room. Eventually we left and booked a lovely room in Deadwood instead. I still have not received a refund from the lodge or Expedia who I used to book this travesty of a hotel. The outside is in quite a lot of disrepair including broken room windows, cracked parking lot, and the place looked abandoned.

We did not stay after checking in and being shown the room. The hotel lobby was dark and looks different from the online photos. I checked in and was walked to my room to make sure the key worked. Well, it took three men to be able to even get into the room. I was told the front desk could let us in when we needed to get into the room, which was ridiculous. It was obvious the door handle and locking mechanism was not working properly. Got into the room and it smelled awful, was dirty, the pillows smelled like dirty hair, the desk chair should be in the trash, the screen was off, and the paint was peeling. Laundry room out of order and so many comments about the lack of hot water (for weeks!). How are they washing linens?? Exterior doors unmonitored in back and unlocked until midnight - absolutely not. I went to the desk to say this was not as advertised and I expected a cancellation with full refund. We went down the road to another hotel because there was no way we could stay here. Was told no because I booked through here. Hotels.com was helpful and tried to contact them for a refund to no avail. I finally got success with my credit card company after over a month of this. I learned later they have black mold (maybe that’s why our room smelled). The major issue I have is this appears to be the hotel owners MO from all the comments - get the bookings, get the money, and refuse refunds. Do not book here!

The room was dirty and filthy. It looked like it hasn’t been stayed in in months hair in the bed hair in the bathtub, dust all over the room, food and paper and dirt on the floor. The hot tubs were so milky, white dirty that you couldn’t even see the bottoms they would not refund our money but we refuse to stay there. I 100% do not suggest staying here it was disgusting.

We has no hot water. Was not informed at check in. were told it would be resolved within an hour and still not hot water upon check out the next morning. Found out speaking with other guests several others also had no hot water, a few even had gone a couple days without. Should have been notified upon check in. NOTHING offered to compensate,discount. Breakfast was cold.

Gaming machines disabled. Safety non existent. Not clean. Didn't trust the food or the hot tubs based on the state of everything else. Save yourself the sleepless night and chose another property.

Would stay at Blackstone again, value for dollar. Everything was approaching average but never quite getting there. The beds were very comfortable and the room fairly quiet. It was dated in most every way, the wifi was not available in the morning, breakfast was not stocked consistently. We had to wait quite a while as they ran out when we arrived. We had booked a handicap room on AB&B to our surprise and when the desk clerk asked we said we did not require this. They immediately told us we had to upgrade our room. It felt like a money grab and they were unrelenting in getting more money from us. They charged the full room rate to my card and when I challenged him on why the full rate and not the difference he kept explaining upgrade, upgrade. After several minutes of this he returned my card with a smile and said it was handled and the charge was for incidentals. Will be checking my charges to make sure I am not charged twice for one room. AB&B should not show handicap rooms unless they are requested!!! Then be very clear if you are booking one by mistake!!

It it was one of the dirtiest rooms I've ever seen there was wasp least 3 in deep in the window seals and flying around the room I didn't even stay I had to eat what I paid to them I would never recommend this to nobody it's a horrible disgusting place

I saw other people with pets but I did not bring any. The property was mostly quiet excepts the aged window unit that made strange noises. The hot tubs were a nice treat after a long day although one wasn’t filled and the second one we couldn’t get the lights or jets to turn on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a normal continental style. Unit had everything we needed microwave, fridge, tv, hangers, and comfortable bedding. WiFi was fast and I was able to get work done on downtime. Love the location (down the road from deadwood). Such a cute little town!

This place is a run down $h!t hole, dirty, dust everywhere, towel. Racks are falling off the wall, mold on the ceiling above the shower, bathroom vent does not work, air conditioner through the wall was so noisy. We could hardly sleep. No meat on the continental breakfast. We were so unhappy we actually left a day early with no refund.

We were given the executive suite and found green mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and mold on the calking around the tub. There was dust sitting on the table between the beds. The building was not kept up (paint chips on all the doorways and the walls didn’t look like they had seen new paint in years. I didn’t think to take photos. I do not recommend this hotel!!
