The swimming pool and hot tub are permanently closed. The window in our room was broken, the toilet seat was missing an anchor screw, the safety latch on the door was broken, the microwave and fridge were missing and no garbage can. The bedding was clean and comfortable

Our stay at the Baymont in Spearfish, SD was the worst I have ever experienced. Mold growing on the bathroom walls, visible , room smelled like urine and pictures on the wall hung over the bed frame. We left after one night and was charged for 3 nights.

No water in the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was not so good. Didn’t have any forks, food was almost gone. Juice was the worst. Not enough seating. Trash was overflowing. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

So the staff were super nice and friendly. However the rooms were set up really weird with a lot of dead space and the ac was in another room not even in the bedroom which made the bedroom stuffy and hot. The TV’s didn’t work and the curtains didn’t keep out any light so it was very bright. Our room also smelled like a smoker had been in there at some point. The shampoo was also half used.

You can tell that it is an older building. When we stayed the pool was empty, but they did mention renovations. The room/ bathroom was clean. The TV had trouble with a signal but it was OK.

When we checked in we were informed that they did not have room keys so if we left we would have to find staff to get back in the room. All inside and outside doors were propped open. Pool had no water the restaurant was a pizza ranch, so no breakfast was available. Air conditioner knows were broken so there was no way to adjust the temp. You either froze or got over heated. No elevator and no luggage carts.
