Come enjoy Canaan Valley at Buck's Branch, located at the edge of the Monagahela National Forest.   The valley has so much to offer. Choose your own adventure for skiing, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, or simply relax at the cabin. With the forest steps from our door, you can hike through the forest to a beaver dam, play games on the large lawn, stargaze in the evening, or simply relax in the hot tub!







This spacious home has 4 bedrooms each with an on-suite bathroom. The 1st floor has two bedrooms with king beds. The second floor has a queen bed, a kids room with one pyramid bunk bed and futon, and a loft with a futon bed. Every bedroom has a TV.  There is a large ski entrance for all your outdoor gear. Four wheel drive / AWD is recommended in the wintertime to climb up the street. Come enjoy all that Canaan Valley has to offer!

The property was spacious, bright, and well-equipped with kitchen utensils. The parking area was sufficient for multiple vehicles and the location and access road were good. The beds and furniture were comfortable. There is some deferred maintenance that should be addressed (peeling ceiling, dirty bathroom ventilation, etc) but nothing major.

Beautiful House

Loved the great room in this house, it was so bright and had a large deck that overlooked the yard. We were vacationing with our grandchildren who are 7 and 4 years old. There was a foosball table and plenty of games, books and other activities for them to enjoy while we were relaxing at the house. The house was very clean and was well stocked in the kitchen and the bathrooms. There were plenty of pans, dishes, and several small appliances ( crockpot, griddle, and other appliances) that you could cook virtually anything you wanted in this kitchen. There was more than enough towels, and linens to last for our visit. I would definitely stay in this house again if we were visiting in the Davis area.

Overall property was nice. Cleanliness could be better. Closet near front door smells horrible. We opened and closed it immediately. Not sure what was causing the stench. Pet hair on furniture. Grill was very dirty and full of grease. Potential fire risk. Hot Tub was cloudy.

Wonderful location, Well supplied house, Communication could be better

I loved this house. The double story windows bring in lots of natural light and give a nice view of the spacious yard. We loved playing outside. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Beds were very comfortable. The house is located very conveniently to state parks and wildlife refuges. It was also convenient to groceries in Davis. The online listing does not detail what all is included at the house so we brought lots of things we didn't need to. I had emailed the property management company several times before the trip for clarification but did not receive a reply. Communication with MTR was very hit or miss which was frustrating at times. All in all we were very satisfied with our visit and will definitely be back.

Family Getaway Long Weekend

We really enjoyed staying and the location was great for our adventures. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. The front door, closest to the living room fire place needs some maintenance, since the latch would not fully retract when the outside handle was used. The deck could use some cleaning and a fresh coat of paint/stain.
