Nydelig strand!!! Rent og pent. Savnet madrass pÄ solsengen. Solsengene kunne trenge litt vedlikehold, men fungerte. Likte ikke at det var sÄ hÞy musikk pÄ ettermiddagen og kvelden pÄ lÞrdag og sÞndag. Likte at det ikke var musikk pÄ ukedagene! Likte ikke at jeg mÄtte logge inn 1000 ganger pÄ wifien. Wifi fungerte ikke pÄ stranden. Al la carte frokost likte jeg! Rask servering. Enkelt og rent rom, men litt slitt. Savnet en liten lampe pÄ nattbordet. TVen pÄ mitt rom var ikke tilkoblet/ fungerte ikke, men jeg savnet det ikke, og jeg spurte ikke om Ä fÄ det fikset. FÞlte meg trygg med vakter pÄ stranden som kunne passe pÄ mine saker nÄr jeg badet. Vennlig betjening! Jeg var her i februar og var nesten alene pÄ hotellet og pÄ stranden. Jeg likte det! Bra pris! Under 25 $ per natt inkludert frokost og gratis wifi.

Hotel room was poor, general condition needed lifting, cobwebs, flaking paint, stained bed linen in places, paper thin pillows, mattress needs upgrading please, generally needed some investment as the beach was very nice. It has a useful restaurant, bar, its main feature is the generous thatched roof over the building. Staff were very willing. I loved its location, less muzungu tourists, lovely beach. The pool looked ominous bredda.

Best Resort / Hotel in Dar Es Salaam!

Amazing location, friendly staff, professional manager on site... And literally 100 feet away from the ocean! Amenities: *hot water *free wifi *swimming pool *restaurant *bar *mosquito nets *room service or large beautiful outdoor dining area *beach front property!! *Daily housekeeping Great for a romantic getaway, business trip, or family vacation with young children. It's just minutes away from major shopping malls, grocery stores and banks / atms for your convenience. This resort also has a full professional kitchen with several chefs each specializing in various generas of food which is why thier menu successfully encompasses American, Asian, Indian and Italian cuisine. If you're visiting Tanzania, make sure to go to Kigamboni..... And when you visit Kigamboni, don't even think about going anywhere else or you'll be missing out on an amazing experience!

Not worth it

The picture of the Hotel they have on the website is misleading: the beach is not directly in from of the hotel: you must walk 200m or so, passing in the swimmingpool area first (so no sand close to the hotel). The food and anything else is extremely overpriced compared to its value. Surprisingly you pay 15000 tzs for a juice (from carton), whereas in the previous 3* hotel where I was I could pay 15000 for juice (the same one) plus a complete meal.

This was the best holiday of my life. South Beach hotel has the most amazing atmosphere, especially on a Saturday night. And to top it off, the food was incredible; the staff were super-helpful (and spoke good English) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Only better for Beach experience not Hotel

It was terrible. Far from the ferries, they dont have transportation for guests, terrible staffing at night because when I arrived there almost everyone was asleep. I did not get any food because they dont do that service over night and the room condition is just very mediocre like a cheap hostel room. The food the following day was overpriced for no reason at all because for breakfast was simply very plain fried eggs and expensive tosts, and even there is no any professional customer care whats so ever. I would not go back there for a hotel experience or stay overnight. I would simply just go for a fresh expensinve Beach experience because they have it nice there but super expensive again.

Vi (min mand og jeg) havde nogle meget hyggelige og afslappende dage pÄ hotellet. Personalet er meget venlige og vil gÞre alt for at gÞre os tilfredse. Maden er super og specielt i weekenderne kommer der mange besÞgende til stedet, -isaer for at benytte poolen. Poolen rengÞres jÊvnligt og generelt er rengÞring og service udmÊrket til prisen. Vi kunne kun vÊre trygge ved at bestille taxi via hotellet og f.eks fÄ fÞlgeskab ind til den lille by der ligger ca.400meter fra hotellet. Her kan man se det lokale markeder og div. hÄndvÊrk i fuld aktivitet. der er mulighed for at kÞbe malerier og div. batik. Stranden er speciel, da der er meget aendring pga. tidevandet. Der samles let meget tang og andet (desvÊrre ogsÄ plastik fra skibene pÄ havet) ved hÞjvande og det ligger pÄ stranden nÄr der er lavvand. Men vandet er klart og med store bÞlger man kan ride pÄ. Hotelli hinnoittelee juomat ja ruuat ylÀkanttiin - mikÀ onkin helppoa sillÀ asukkaan on hankala niitÀ muualtakaan hankkia. Eli jos menet niin ota riittÀvÀsti ainakin pullovettÀ mukaan. Ranta ihan ok, mutta hotelli varoittelee vierailijoita kÀvelemÀstÀ "vÀÀrÀÀn suuntaan". Hotellin vartioinnista ei tullut itselle turvallinen vaan turvaton olo.

A Wonderful Surprise!

I was a bit unsure of the hotel do to the mixed nature of the reviews but decided to give it a shot, and what a great surprise! The location is awesome and the staff all smiling and warm ready to assist at anything they can. The food was delicious, their barbecue chicken (reshmi kebab?) and the indian dishes were fantastic. I am a curry lover and the tikka masala was just great! The breakfast was a surprise too as they brought out a local indian bread that is not only great to look at (puffed up like a balloon when it arrives) but went great with the eggs. The rooms are decent sized, a little bit on the older side, but very comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were average. Overall, I will definitely return for the location, the staff, the food and the beautiful pool and white sandy beaches.

Jeg ankom dette hotellet etter noen flotte dager pÄ Zanzibar. Noen vil nok finne det noe ubeleilig at hotellet ikke ligger i sentrum av Dar es Salaam (du bruker ca 40 min fra flyplassen til hotellet, og du mÄ ta ferge), men dette er tvert om en fordel. Du slipper byens tjas og mas, og kan nyte ferien din i ro og mak. Servicen pÄ hotellet er unik, og personalet er alltid pÄ pletten for Ä tilfredstille dine Þnsker. Hotellet har ogsÄ svÊrt hÞy sikkerhet (noe som er svÊrt verdisatt i Dar es Salaam), med flere sikkerhetssperrer, hÞy mur, og et stort antall vakter. Rommene er enkelt, men pent innredet, med gode senger og deilig sengetÞy. Trykket i dusjen er sterkt og godt. Jeg vil anbefale deg/dere Ä bestille taxi gjennom hotellet bÄde ved ankomst og avreise, til tross for at dette er noe dyrere. Grunnen er at dette er svÊrt mye enklere og tryggere.

Mycket folk (daggÀster) pÄ helgen, dÄ fanns Àven service. Beachen var bra och badvÀnlig. Rummen OK men saknade kylskÄp. DaggÀsterna (mestadels unga vuxna tanzanianer) visade ingen hÀnsyn till barn i poolen. Hög musik spelade lÄngt in pÄ natten. PÄ mÄndag försvann servicen, det fanns inte ens toapapper pÄ toaletterna vid omklÀdningsrummen. Hotellet passar inte affÀrsresenÀrer, för oss tog det 3h frÄn flygplatsen till hotellet en lördag förmiddag.
