2nd visit to this resort, everything was ok, just didn’t feel that welcome by receptionist & some staff, we checked in after a 4 hour drive, was given room keys, we lugged our luggage to room on a different level and some way down the corridor to find that the room keys didn’t work, ok these things happen. Left luggage in the corridor, walked back to reception, receptionist took my key, no explanation, just said ‘try that now’ no apology, just a lack of awareness & indifference thankfully it worked. Suggest staff need further training in customer etiquette, we had a similar indifferent service from one of the bar staff, although must say the other bar tender was warm & friendly.

Berry Hill Resort is a gorgeous, top-notch historical site with all the amenities and comforts needed for a restful vacation, wedding or anniversary celebration, family reunion and any other occasion. The resort is pet-friendly and guest-focused. Breakfast is nicely done with delicious hot foods, muffins and pastries, fruit, oatmeal, juices and delicious coffee. The staff members are very pleasant, helpful and well-trained in the fine art of hospitality and service. The guest rooms are elegantly furnished in period decor, the bed comfortable and the room, bath and coffee areas are spacious. We stay at Berry Hill Resort several times a year and are always pleased with our visits.

I loved everything other than the breakfast. We were there for a wedding and I think the breakfast was more crowded due to that and not much food available. I didn’t realized they had a brunch in another building we could have paid for so we left the property to eat. Everything else was great!!

Disappointed is the best way to describe the experience. As a photo opp location it is good. But, when you look closer you start to notice how run down it has become. The front desk staff are petulant and condescending, The continental breakfast was probably the worst I have seen in 25 years. All the items that should have been hot,were stone cold. The fruit was molding. Hello, can you say Health Code Violation? Eating at the "Darby's Tavern" is a travesty. Definitely the worst place I ever eaten at. I have never been served a steak with more grissle and fat. Totally uneatible. Grèen beans with the stems still on, and mashed potatoes that were days old and had been barely microwaved. And that's after waiting 20 minutes to get the order taken and then waiting an additional 55 minutes to be served such a disgusting meal.
