I am extremely disappointed in this hotel, Astoria North Extended Stay 1030 Piney Forest Rd, Danville, VA, 24540. I got two rooms. Both rooms have dirty and soiled carpets; the bathtubs are dingy; one of the refrigerators was stained with some kind of liquid and one of them have roaches. I requested nonsmoking rooms but both rooms smelled like smoke and reeked of a bad odor. A horrible experience. The only thing nice about this place was the cordial, friendly and pleasant woman, the front desk representative.

It's cheap, there's Starbucks across the street in biscuitville next door. No bars around so you can't walk and get a beer unfortunately. The walls are very thin; you can easily hear traffic, footsteps on the stairs, and conversations happening outside. This can make it difficult to sleep, so I recommend bringing earplugs or muffs.

Room #59 was a disaster! 1) Top bed sheet had a hole on it 2) carpet had multiple stains 3) window blinds were stained and ripped from curtain rod. I had to wedge the window curtain inside the door frame and close the door to keep the ripped curtain stretched across the entire window to have privacy. 4) Shower curtain rod was broken. 5) room smelled like an ash tray.

Roaches in the tub which is very stained! Stained bed sheets, pilllow cases had blood drops, carpet so filthy I wouldn’t let my dog walk on it pawbared. The one cleaning lady was very pleasant and my hats off to her. The place needs to be renovated immediately.
