Cool hotel, incredibly loud highway noise.

The proximity to the convention center is great and the hotel itself is nice. Cool art and funky rooms, though poorly lit. The restaurant staff was attentive. The highway noise, however, is hard to convey in words. It is SO LOUD in the rooms facing the highway that earplugs and a white noise app can't even begin to drown out the noise. Do not, I repeat do not, let them put you in an east, north or west facing room. You won't sleep.

The staff seemed annoyed when I checked in. We checked in a bit early (I asked if it would be ok- if not, would have totally understood). But I got a heavy sigh and the gentleman asked for my credit card and ID. No “hello”, “how are you doing today”… no greeting whatsoever. He was annoyed with us. It was very off putting and honestly the reason we ventured out for breakfast the next day vs eating at the hotel restaurant. The hotel itself was super artistic and fun. Our room was interesting (in a good way) and had we been there longer than one night- we would have used the pool (also interesting).

The hotel is nice. It's just outside of downtown, but a decent compromise for the price. The highway noise at night is unbearable, though. It was tough to sleep it was so loud. And their AC units don't have a setting to run the fan to drown the noise out. I wouldn't stay there again.

Great parking, very convenient for ride share as you are only a 10 minute ride to anywhere downtown. We had a room facing the highway and it was loud at night so be aware. Also not the safest area for walking into downtown, be smart. Very fun rooms and decor, staff was helpful and friendly.
