Elevators didn't work, they forgot to make my room one day, room was dark old dated. Lamps and phone didn’t work either. Valet parking is very expensive for a night. And we waited more than an hour to get our car. The one thing that was amazing was the people that worked there. They are all super nice and friendly.

First Fairmont i have ever seen that failed to meet my standards. Room was not thought through - had to climb under the table to charge laptop; had to climb there again to turn off the lamp. There was no drinking water in the room despite a coffee machine. Breakfast order on door knob was not picked up. Restaurant was understaffed for breakfast (took some time to find the host) and the front desk was empty.

Disappointing Stay at the Fairmont Hotel

I recently stayed at the Fairmont Hotel to celebrate both my birthday and anniversary, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were encouraged to use the valet service, which we were assured would park our vehicles in a covered parking garage. However, we later discovered that both of our cars were left in an open parking lot down the street—something we could have paid a much lower rate for had we known in advance. The hotel’s elevator situation was also frustrating. With only one functioning elevator, we waited 15–20 minutes each time we needed to go up or down, which was highly inconvenient. The valet retrieval process was equally chaotic, with some guests waiting up to 1.5 hours just to get their keys. Additionally, the heater in our room was not working properly despite the outside temperature being 30 degrees. While the room itself was decent, it felt very outdated and in need of renovation. Overall, for a luxury hotel, I expected a much smoother experience. The service inefficiencies, outdated accommodations, and lack of communication regarding parking made our stay less enjoyable than anticipated. I hope management takes steps to improve these issues for future guests.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Fairmont. Upon arrival, the first room we were assigned had a non-functioning heater, which is unacceptable, especially in February when temperatures dropped below freezing. After being moved to a second room, the same heating issue persisted, making for an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. To make matters worse, the valet parking service was incredibly slow, taking over an hour to bring out our rental car. This delay resulted in us missing our flight, further adding to the inconvenience and stress of our trip. Given the lack of attention to these critical issues and the overall poor customer service, I would strongly advise you to NOT stay at the Fairmont. I expected much more from a hotel of this reputation and will not be returning in the future.

Don't Valet - Lack of Common Sense

Great stay, but valet was disappointing. They don't run, they walk, and socialize with guests as they stand waiting for over 2 hours for their cars. We called in at 10:15am with no answer and gave our ticket shortly afterward in person. We received the car at 12:22pm. While waiting, the valet clerk shuffled through tickets for each person who went to complain, and clearly did not put the tickets together in the same order. We're non smokers and our car smelled like smoke. On our way out, another valet parked someone else's car to cover the exit from the driveway to the street. We could not leave until they loaded up. A large portion of our day that was taken for the "considerable" cost of $54+ tip.

My previous stay here was excellent. My second stay however, felt like a trap where no one could leave. The day after Valentine’s Day saw the valet service overwhelmed and appeared incompetent. People waited for hours to get their cars after checkout. Worst valet experience ever.
