The bathroom wasn’t cleaned well. There was black hair in different places, the toilet ran, tiles on the floor were loose causing me to almost slip. The bed sheets were itchy. The heater didn’t get hot. The overnight staff wasn’t friendly but the check-in staff was good

The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel itself feels old and kind of dingy. There was a terrible smell in the dirty elevator. The dark golden paint color and dark heavily patterned furniture makes the room and rest of the hotel feel outdated and super dark. In the room(215) there are holes in the carpet, and there were old French fries and some sort of soda bottle on the floor upon arrival. If it’s avoidable, we won’t be staying again at this hotel, and it will probably have a hard time keeping up with newer and cleaner hotels in the area if changes aren’t made.

The manager at this hotel had poor & unacceptable customer service. I check in at this hotel Thanksgiving evening. I arrived in my room the first thing I felt was cold air blowing on high from the air conditioning unit. I checked the thermostat to switch the heat on. I never felt it kick on but dropped my bags off & left in hopes that when I got back, the room would be warm. I get back later that evening to find out the room is still freezing. So, I call down to the front desk. The receptionist said she will notify the manager of the matter, just allow about 5 or 10 mins. After waiting 3 times & no one shows up, I call down again. I ask if they have any other rooms, she said they were sold out. I then request a refund. She says the manager would have to do it. Its me & my 3 year old son. We are tired ready to unpack & get ready for bed. I couldn't wait so grabbed our bags & get back down to the front desk. The receptionist then calls the manager again and she's telling him that I won't go back upstairs & that I want my refund. Instantly the manager & another guy arrives. I demand he issue my refund as he's insisting me to go up to the room to show him that the heat is not working. I said "NO! I want a receipt now! So I can go!" He yells back; "No you aren't getting a refund!" He finally goes to check the room, comes back down, finally apologized and handed me a receipt after getting in my face & arguing with me for 45 mins. I will never book this hotel! Poor service!
