Day two of our trip/adventure and the second night staying at an unbranded hotel. We were hopeful, but hesitant based upon our experience the night before at a different property. People at this property have it right. By people, I don’t just mean the owners who developed the property, but moreso the entire cast. I don’t know about you, but I value being greeted with a smile and by someone who doesn’t have a script, but engages in genuine conversation. Additional staff that we encountered (cleaners, maintenance) were friendly as well. The property is well maintained with pools, hot tubs, game areas, etc. We place value in the three c’s: clean, comfortable, and “cwiet”, this property checked all three boxes! And, lastly, the guests that we encountered got it as well. The layout and design of the property lent itself to friendly interactions. Quite often getting there gets in the way of who you meet and what you see and experience.

The staff was very friendly. The room very clean although the location is right on the highway so during the day you hear all the traffic passing by, but it was very quiet at night once you closed the doors. The breakfast restaurant is absolutely excellent good food, staff very friendly. Outside patio dining very nice, inside dining very eclectic.

Clean except the A/C unit had lots of mold- not good for asthma, the window screen was torn in two places so could not use because of flying bugs. TV reception was lost one evening - staff repaired immediately. Staff friendly, service oriented great staff!! Overall good place unless mold is a concern in A/C - the only reason not a 5 star. The onsite restaurant was very good for a light breakfast. We had yogurt bowl with very fresh berries twice - excellent!

Very cute but could be better

Very very cute inn. Free laundry Comfortable and beautiful room but smaller than regular room size Average staff friendliness Free water( we filled a lot of our bottles for our road trip) The Feel Good Cafe was above average- creative but could be tastier. But definitely healthy!! FYI we tried the Uzbekian drink but it turned out to be disappointing. Egg & Ham croissant and Banana split were good. Raspberry milk and Mocha was pretty good too Overall very nice decor! But could make slight improvements in some places which I guess is reflected in its lower prices than nearby hotels. Still recommend it, if you aren’t looking for luxury!

We used the Bavarian Inn as our base for exploring Custer Park, Mt Rushmore, and more. The facilities were very clean, comfortable, and beautiful with all the flowers. It really did feel like a little hotel in Europe. The free laundry was greatly appreciated. We would definitely return if we are in the area again!
