The pool was worth the stay.
This is a modest but comfortable property, that could use some improvements. The host is very kind but is a bit difficult to communicate with. The property is quite remote and difficult to locate (GPS is not accurate based on the address we were given). If you are looking for a remote hillside setting, this is a good choice. If you are looking for easy access to the beaches, seaside towns, and restaurants, this would not be our recommended choice. The bedrooms are clean and generally comfortable. The biggest problem is that we were there in hot weather and there is no air conditioning. Furthermore, there are no screens on the windows and French doors, and with many mosquitoes flying around, we needed to keep windows closed and it was impossible to keep the bedrooms comfortable for sleeping at night. The banisters/railings on the staircase leading to the 2nd floor were very loose and unsafe. While the property is generally quiet and serene, there are a number of dogs in the neighboring homes, and at times they all bark in unison. We would have appreciated more amenities such as pool towels and more bathroom towels, coffee maker (only a French press), and the refrigerator was not set properly to cool the food we put in the first night. WiFi didn't work consistently. The pool and surrounding terrace are sublime--this is the reason to book this property! The pool, Mediterranean Sea views, and terrace are breathtaking--we spent the majority of our stay enjoying them.
