The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - a credit to the hotel. My dog made lots of friends with the staff and managed to blag a great number of treats from the bar. Food was good and a quiet location (in the winter).

The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog

Service and location, restaurant/bar were all amazing especially the breakfst hamper in the room. The building shows some signs of age (noise from otehr rooms and floor board creaking) but the whole experience of staying here for 2 nights with our dog was lovely especially as we travelled without a car. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. highly recommend.
