In the heart of Normandy, Mesnil-val is a seaside resort located between Dieppe and the Bay of Somme, in the town of Criel-sur-Mer. The village gained fame in the early 20th century with the rise of seaside bathing. It is known for its pebble beach, its valley setting featuring the tallest chalk cliffs in Europe, and its Anglo-Norman villas. Many of the villas were designed by the famous architect Léon Mériot; you’ll spot his plaque as you admire the houses during your walks. Mesnil-Val is a paradise for hikers, fishermen, and all vacationers.
Colorful beach huts line the shore. You can sip a cocktail on the terrace of the Resto de la Plage, relax on your towel, swim out to the buoy, or watch the shrimp scuttle among the rocks at low tide.
Would you rather take a walk and breathe in the sea air? As you head down toward the beach, climb the few steps next to the stone “Casino” sign and let the trail guide you along the cliff to Criel-sur-Mer. This is the GR21, voted France’s favorite long-distance hiking trail in 2020.

De beschrijving en de foto’s van de accommodatie deed vermoeden dat het om een luxe verblijf ging. Dat is niet zo. Voor bijna 200 per nacht inLaag seizoen hadden we een heel andere voorstelling van wat ons te wachten stond. Donker en hokkig in een steegje met een bedompte achtertuin! Voor minder kon je in 4 sterren hotels in de hele regio logeren Wij zijn dan ook na een nacht weggegaan.

Superbe location, logement propre . Toutes commodités. Le plus le spa privatif pour passer un bon moment relaxant. Endroit très calme . Petite balade au bord de la mer très agréable.
