Red Lady Express lift is a 3-minute walk. One bed (king) plus a king-size Murphy pulldown, full bathroom, kitchenette, dedicated desk, and all Grand Lodge amenities—pool, hot tub (year-round, heated), gym, steam room, lobby fireplace, complimentary town shuttle—are yours to use every day of your stay. Free ski storage at the adjacent partner building means zero hassle unloading or loading. Ideal for weekend ski trips or mountain-activity getaways when you want proximity to the lift, après-ski options, and the ease of self check-in.



The Space:

Open Studio Layout: King bed and sitting area in one flexible space. Sliding glass door to hallway.



Sleeping Capacity: One king bed (standard two-person) + king-size Murphy pulldown (additional two guests). Room-darkening shades.



Kitchenette: Two-burner cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster. Stocked with pots, pans, dishes, basic cooking supplies. Lobby café and restaurant (60-second walk) fill any gaps.



Bathroom: Tub/shower combo with heated floor. Full towels, shampoo, soap, and essentials provided.



Workspace: Dedicated desk with chair, monitor, and Wi-Fi throughout. Also use the fireplace lobby (quieter for calls).



Grand Lodge Shared Amenities (included): Heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool (glass pass-through door), year-round outdoor hot tub (165°F, open 24/7), full fitness center with free weights and cardio, steam room, fireplace lobby with mountain guidebooks and local tips, and complimentary town shuttle service to downtown Elk Avenue. EV charging and free ski storage at Butte & Co (adjacent building).



What This Condo Does Well: Ski-in/out convenience (Red Lady Express, 3-minute walk). Year-round hot tub for après-ski and non-ski days. Self check-in (no key pickup; digital keypad entry). Studio layout is efficient—no wasted space. Ideal for couples or small groups who want shared building energy (gym, hot tub, lobby) without the size of a full condo.



Guest Access:

The entire studio is yours. Self check-in with a keypad — your door code and East tower directions are sent through the digital guidebook before arrival.



Shared building amenities — heated pool, hot tub, gym, steam room, lobby, and laundry (in some buildings) — are managed by the Grand Lodge HOA and are available to every guest during open hours. We'll flag any known closures before your stay. Amenity operating hours can change without notice; refunds aren't offered for HOA-controlled amenity downtime.



Parking: one free spot in the lot, plus an on-site EV charging station. Additional vehicles can park in the overflow lot.



The Neighborhood:

You're at the base of Mt. Crested Butte Ski Resort. Red Lady Express — the main lift at the base — is a 3-minute walk from the Grand Lodge's front door. The historic town of Crested Butte (Elk Avenue restaurants, breweries, shops) is 6 minutes by car or a free shuttle ride away.

Crested Butte is known for locally owned restaurants, world-class fall aspens along Kebler Pass, and a less-corporate feel than Vail or Aspen.



Getting Around:

You can ski without a car — the Red Lady Express lift is a 3-minute walk and ski rentals + storage are at Butte & Co across the lot. For downtown, groceries, and trailheads, a car is convenient, though the free Mt. Express shuttle runs regularly between the mountain base and downtown Crested Butte.



From Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport (GUC): ~40min drive north on Hwy 135. Seasonal direct flights from Denver, Dallas, Houston.



From Denver International (DEN): ~4hr drive via Hwy 285 S ➔ Hwy 50 W ➔ Hwy 135 N. AWD and snow tires recommended November through April.

Altitude: Mt. Crested Butte sits at 9,375 ft. Drink extra water, take your first day easy, and consider travel insurance. We're unable to offer refunds for altitude-related issues.



No air conditioning — Mt. Crested Butte rarely needs it. No in-unit washer; laundry is available in town.



Studio layout — four guests share one open room. Not a multi-bedroom condo.



Shared amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, steam room) are HOA-managed. We'll flag known closures in advance, but we can't offer refunds for HOA-controlled amenity downtime.



No daily linen service — this is a short-term rental, not a hotel. Mid-stay turnover is available on 24-hour notice; details are handled through the guidebook.



Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout before 10:00 AM. 4 guests maximum.



Interaction with Guests:

We respond within an hour through the platform and the digital guidebook. Check-in details, WiFi password, parking instructions, and local recommendations are all in the guidebook, sent a day before arrival. The level of interaction is up to you — available if you want us, invisible if you don't.
