This was my first time to Exuma but my wife's second, she really wanted to bring me to see the beautiful area and experience the wonderful people. Of all the places we have vacationed, Exuma Island is the one place we felt safe both day & night. The let the locals residents know they live in paradise & thanked them for sharing their home with us. One disappointment & eye sore along some of the beaches & roads was the garbage. An investment in cleaning up would benefit everyone.

Quiet and peaceful getaway

We LOVED staying here for our 8 days in Exuma. The place was small but suited our needs perfectly. Cookware and coffee machine were provided, although we did most of our eating at the island restaurants. The back deck leading out to the beach is truly stunning with sunrise views every morning and local, trained and very friendly dogs that went on our morning beach walks with us (their owners were a few houses down). The locals are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people from any country we’ve visited. We rented a car from the host as well, who had it parked at the airport ready for us when we landed. This meant we were on our way faster than everyone on our flight as we didn’t have to stand in line at the car rental spots. Highly recommend doing this if you stay here. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again during our next trip to Exuma. Thank you!

I hesitated to write this review but ultimately felt like others need to be aware when renting this property. As of February 22-26, there was on going construction to add on to this unit, which was not disclosed or even mentioned when I booked. Instead of a peaceful beachfront property you got woken up to saws, drills, and typical construction noise. On top of that the furniture and extra blankets had stains all over them leaving you to wonder about the rest of linens. There were no curtains on the patio doors but the host did get some once we asked.The property is shaped like a shipping container and has to be less than 300 sq feet. There are no closet for clothes and the bathroom sink has a low hanging shelf that prevents you from brushing your teeth or washing your face. The fridge is a tiny dorm room one with a freezer at the top that could only hold one or two ice trays and doesn’t get cold enough to freeze.The burners on the stove worked intermittently but never at the same time, which made it hard when cooking. There is no washer or dryer unlike the listing shows. We also ended up checking out a day early and staying at a hotel because the “noseeums” were so bad in that area. We have been to Exuma 5 times and stayed at multiple locations and never has it been this bad.I can say that the host was always responsive and got what we asked for. I feel this property is not represented correctly at all by the description and especially the pics. Just be aware
