Escape to our fun, Port Aransas retreat, ideally located a short stroll on the boardwalk to the beach. Our newly-renovated bottom-floor studio condo offers a warm atmosphere. We've recently redone the entire condo, including all new appliances. This new efficiency studio condo has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal, make coffee with the Keurig or make snacks for the beach. The living area features ample seating and a flat-screen TV. With two Queen size beds, we can accommodate four people comfortably. The bathroom has a lovely, tiled walk-in shower. The high-efficiency AC unit is extremely quiet and will keep you cool in the warmer months. The resort community has great amenities, including a boardwalk to the beach, on-site pool and picnic area—all just steps from the door. If you'd simply like to relax and enjoy the outdoors, you have a private patio with a view of the boardwalk, near the ocean. Come stay and play at our island retreat!

Location was great. First impression of unit however wasn’t so good. Outside doors were filthy. Room itself was clean and pleasant on the surface but again, white doors, white trim, around base boards, and between sliding glass doors were also filthy. This made me feel like the room wasn’t clean in general which was disappointing. I actually took a soapy paper towel and washed the exterior door and doorknob just so they didn’t look so terrible every time you entered and exited. I also was disappointed in the patio furniture. It only consisted of a pvc pipe loveseat that seemed very rickety and a plastic table that was also dirty. As mentioned above the track and safety stick between sliding glass doors were filthy.

Perfect location

First time staying here! It was a short walk to the beach, we didn’t even have to rent a golf cart! This would be great for a family because they had a park, pool and a tennis court. Security was present to get into the entrance which we appreciate. It had everything we needed.

Lovely Studio

The lovely little studio condo that fit our family of four wonderfully. It is the beach so it is hard to keep the floors clean with constant sand but we just wore our flip flops and it was fine. The bathroom was clean and nicely updated as well as the kitchen area. The back porch was great to have to sit outside and to have a place for wet swimsuits/towels to dry out. It is really close to the boardwalk that goes over the dunes to the beach as well as the outdoor shower/foot rinsing area that I used to rinse swimsuits & toys. We will be booking again next time we plan to go to the beach!

Great Port A Destination

Great Port A vacation staging area. Updated condo very close to the boardwalk to the beach. Lower floor made it easy to unload and load up the car during check in and check out. Very clean condo with plenty of lighting, very nice kitchen and bathroom. Gave 4 star rating only because their were no washcloths available and my wife snubbing her toe on the short footboard bed post leading to the bathroom. I had to move the luggage stand and small end table to make the walkway wider. Overall 5 stars if not for those 2 issues.

Great place just steps from the beach!

Cute, clean, and fantastic location! Check in process was flawless. The boardwalk to the beach is a sweet, short walk, and drops you in the middle of that stretch of beach. Overall, a fantastic place! I’d stay here again in a quick second.

Smelled like mold

The apartment smelled like mold, there were fire ants on the back porch, the no slip grips on the board walk were coming off and there were grass burrs everywhere. My daughter's stroller was covered in them after walking down to the beach. I ended up booking a hotel in Corpus and didn't stay. Management did refund one night. I was extremely excited to stay here and ended up extremely disappointed. Definitely more run-down than the pictures would lead you to believe

Not good on the details

While the overall quality of the property was okay, there were a lot of details that hindered our enjoyment of the stay. My bed had a distinct downward slant to one side, which is not good for the back. The bathroom had zero washcloths and a thick layer of dead bugs in the overhead light fixture/vent fan. And the kitchen had no potholders and, worst of all, food-encrusted flatware was in the drawer and dirty dishes and greasy pans had been put away in the cabinets. This is my second time staying in an Island Retreat property where either maintenance or housekeeping was inadequate, so I will be going elsewhere in the future.

It was ok

It was a nice location with nice people. Did have some issues with the room though. Some of the lights didnt work so made it hard to see at times. As well trying to watch tv late at night or early morning. Couldnt find anything for the kids to to keep them happy. But besides that not a bad location, very close to the ocean and nice view from the room we stayed in.

Good location but unit needs some TLC

The location is perfect, however the unit could use some new bedding especially sheets. As I was pulling up my sheet I found blood stains in the top right corner as if someone has had a nosebleed and stained the sheets. The sheets also felt scratchy and not comfortable. We also noticed that there was a panty liner tape stuck to the bed frame of the bed. None of us was willing to take it off and throw it away so it remained there and was a joke for the duration of our trip. Most rentals I’ve stayed in has a few spices sun as salt and pepper but this unit had none. Totally not the owners fault but…. One reason we rented here was to be close to the walkway to the beach but when we went outside it was closed! Again not the owners fault but the people above us made noise moving furniture ALL night long. We got very little sleep! This was an inexpensive and quick trip so I was expecting it to be perfect. It was okay. I think new sheets and a little deep cleaning would go along way.
