Good location, but a few surprises once we arrived
The house is 2 blocks from Avenue G, which will take you to one of the entrances to the beach. it’s a few blocks from the Port A Pizzeria, several cute stores, and several places to rent golf carts. The location is great.
Upon entering the house, it was cool and clean. It is steps away from the small pool, which is only good for small kids, since the deepest part is 4 ft.
The listing said it sleeps 12, but it only sleeps 10. We learned on our way to check in that the room with the double over double bunk bed had to be changed, so the top mattress was removed and replaced with a twin size trundle instead.
The pull out sofa in the living room only slept 1 person, despite being told it slept 2. When we arrived, there were no ample linens for it. We called the manager 2 separate times and they brought appropriate bedding. The linens should’ve been in the house to begin with.
On our first night after taking showers, the ceiling started leaking on the first floor, below the second floor shower. We were told it had to do with the way the floor planks were installed?
In the kitchen, there were just a few bowls and plates. The can opener was broken. The freezer didn’t make ice cubes, the oven didn’t work properly. The refrigerator had a sign that said not to put too many warm drinks in it because it would overload it.
The shared bathroom on the second floor was small. Toilet didn’t flush properly.
Closets in every room, but no drawers.
Floors downstairs are cement.
