I looked at many rooms and chose one carefully. On the day of arrival, I received a phone call saying I had been “upgraded”. I asked what that meant and was told it would be a higher room with a better view. It was higher, but the room was anything but an upgrade. It had no dishwasher, no hangers, not even hooks. The bathroom sink was clogged with hair and the shower leaked. The vent was dripping water on the bathroom floor. The bed faced the building and not the water. There were no extra blankets or pillows, which would have been much appreciated with the weather being chilly half of the time we were there. The carpet and outdoor furniture was filthy and the indoor table top was cracked and peeling. The entire pool area was closed the last 3 days we were there. The work being done on the pool deck had such a strong chemical smell that we couldn’t even have the door open. One of the reasons we picked this place was because it was supposed to have a pickleball pro on staff. There was someone but definitely not a person who could play at a high level. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because the location was fantastic and the staff was friendly and prompt sending fresh towels (that were threadbare) and maintenance to fix the sink and shower.
