Staff: Monse (property manager) is very rude and disrespectful and she discriminates against people with disabilities (even children). This is a Civil Violation and it is illegal under CA State and federal law. Even when I offered Monse the official registration cards for mine and my child’s service dog and ADA card to describe our rights did she not even look at them nor take them to read the information. She attacked us and demanded we move out immediately (more than 24 hrs prior to what we had booked and PREPAID). She yelled at us, was unprofessional and very mean. She claimed dogs are not allowed at the hotel. Service dogs are not pet’s, it is against the law not to allow them. Besides we heard a dog barking on the property the day before. We were definitely not the only guests with “dogs” - and when I checked in the first day, I overheard a call (11/23, around 5:30 pm) when a guest called who wanted to bring their dog and was making a booking over the phone and the receptionist told her that she could book the dog for $80/per day, hence: dogs are obviously allowed. By the state of CA it is illegal to prohibit anybody to bring their dog in order to assist with a disability. The hotel is old and could be nice if money would be invested for some renovations. The piping is old and reeks. The carpet is old and doesn’t look clean. The staff refused to provide non-down bedding - my son has terrible allergies. I even send the hotel a message beforehand but they claimed they ne

Cozy accommodations, great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast made the perfect pre-Thanksgiving getaway for my wife and I. We were greeted by the beautiful hotel grounds and buildings-the gardens were wonderful. The manager came immediately when we rang to register. She was friendly, kind, and helpful. They upgraded our room and she walked us there sharing all the amenities available to us. Our room was magnificent. We appreciated the historic style, fireplace, jetted tub, extra sitting room and balcony. The room was immaculate. The bed was super comfy. The happy hour was fun and had a great snack tray for my husband and I to share. (deviled eggs, praline pecans, and grapes) They served wine, beer, sangria, lemonade, and iced tea. I had the lemonade and it was freshly made and delicious on a warm day. We also enjoy the free breakfast that was served to our table in the garden by the fountain. We had an egg and potato casserole, fresh fruit, sausage, and a warm banana nut muffin. It was excellent! Our waitress was friendly, positive, and professional. She brought us extra water and checked in on us to be sure we had all we needed. In fact, this was our experience will all the staff we interacted with. This was an excellent, beautiful hotel that we would go back to in a second! Thank you 1906 Lodge for a great stay.
