Location Perfection

Bases loaded was a perfect location for access to the beach and a ton of shops and restaurants just across the street. It felt like a beachy community and not "commercialized". The house had a very nice layout with bedroom and bathrooms for multiple families. The improvements that could be made are to items for the kitchen like a decent cutting board, grater, etc. Also, there was no hand soap in any bathroom when we arrived. It would be nice for there to be at least one bathroom to have some soap for arrival until families can get to the store. We were surprised there were no "leftover" sand toys, or other beach items which is typical for a VRBO beach property where these things can be left behind and available for future renters. If you are expecting some basic sand buckets and shovels just know they must clean out every item left behind by prior renters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider renting this property again.

anniversary week

We spent the week with family celebrating a 50th anniversary. The location was great! Walking distance to everything that is needed in Corolla. A bit of a walk to the beach, but easy enough to drive and park at the lot. The layout and space of the home is great. It needs a bit of an update with furnishings, and has seen better days. The kitchen could also use a restock on silverware and utensils, but there were plenty of pots and pans. There weren't TVs in any of the bedrooms, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, very enjoyable stay!

Wonderful Stay

This home was perfect for our joint family vacation! Plenty of room and very short walk to the ocean :) There were a couple of “broken/dated” items in the home when we got there, but the housing manager said she would get on fixing them before the next tenants; super friendly staff
