Absolutely wonderful stay. The house was truly lovely and the location was beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Staying here added a lot to our vacation.
Great stay. Our daughter loved being included in feeding the animals. The Nest is spacious and bright, photos do not do it justice. Hope to stay again!
The host was absolutely delightful! They were so nice and friendly. We loved our stay and visiting the farm animals was so much fun! My family and I are definitely interested in going back in the future and referring our friends to stay there.
We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was so cozy and we loved the nest theme so much. We were left fresh eggs in the fridge and loved making omelette each day. We enjoyed our breakfast picnics. The farm is so beautiful and beautifully kept. We visited for my finances and I dial birthday and to hike Watkins Glen. We plan to return in the fall and spend more time exploring the farm. Margie and Bill are so kind to share their farm, produce and
Nice, quiet house. Everything our family needed to have a relaxing weekend. We used the house as a homebase to explore the southern Finger Lakes. The owner was very friendly and helpful with anything you might need
Marjorie and Bill are awesome host. It was so peaceful, in the evening and the sounds of the farm coming alive in the morning was wonderful. The house was perfect for the two of us. We only wish we had more time there.
This charming farmhouse was perfect. I stayed here with my dog while visiting family in the area. It was cozy and comfortable, especially when it snowed. It's incredibly peaceful with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The house was clean and well appointed with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the delicious eggs and honey from the farm!
We stayed for a frigid week, so didn't get to partake of any farm or pond activities. The nest was cozy, warm and welcoming. Lots of thoughtful extras stocked in case things were forgotten. Washer and dryer were not noted in listing but are there. Will definitely be on our short list for return trips.
Nice, Well equipped house. Plenty of land and mowed trails to explore. Very quiet. This is our second time we have stayed here. The owner has always been very nice and helpful with anything we needed. They also own the farm next door and have different events during the warmer months and offer farm tours. You just need to ask.
We spent about 5 days at the Nest and it is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Maggie makes you feel right at home and is the most accommodating host. Plan on booking an extra day or two you will want to have them. The pictures do not do the beauty of this place justice. Enjoy waking up to the sound of the donkeys and birds while sipping a hot cup of coffee looking over the rolling hills.
My family and I were attending the races at Watkins Glen over the weekend and were looking to get away from the crowds in the evening for a recharge before the next day. We stayed at this house for 3 nights and it was perfect. The house was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The property was peaceful and gave us the privacy we were looking for. Margie was so swet and easy to communicate with. The fresh eggs and veggies were an added bonus. We would definitely stay again and have already recommended the property to friends.
Let me first start off with saying how good the communication was with the host. Maggie answered all our questions and gave simple instructions to enter the property. We were welcomed with a dozen farm fresh eggs. The pictures don't do the place justice. If you are using Google maps to get here it will take you to Harrison road instead of Harris road. If you look up directions to Blubird Trail Farm it is the neighboring property.
The Nest is a quant property that is close to town but out in the country on a farm. Our visit to Corning, NY was a gift to my brother. He is a glass blower. In trying to find a place to stay The Nest stuck out as a nice quiet place to relax that was within minutes of the Corning Glass Museum. We were able to navigate the area well. The Nest was a great place to have family time. The farm is beautiful and the house that we stayed was as neat as a Nest. Loved being out in the countryside but at the same time close to town. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who grew up on a farm (as we did) or would like to experience that blessing.
We loved this property! It had everything we needed for our family of three (2 adults and a teen). The house is separate from the farm, but the farm tour was amazing. Even on Easter, we got a tour that included holding baby bunnies and feeding animals. Beds were really comfortable. The king size bed is upstairs while the bathroom is on the first floor. Google maps had a little trouble finding the exact location which made arriving at night a little challenging. Just ask the host for some additional landmarks if arriving after dark. About a fifteen minute drive into Corning for restaurants and the Museum of Glass. We would return to this property!
