Beautiful Hotel, particularly the lobby. Our room floor was a little dated and well worn. One elevator was not in service the first night. The room was clean and comfortable, however when we went to shower, had no water. Maintenance came and we were provided a replacement room later that afternoon. Mechanical issues are understandable and staff treated us excellently to move us to a room with working facility. Food and Service was excellent in the Hotel restaurants. Parking is in a car park behind the hotel, no issue getting a spot to park, but access and size of parking spots were quite challenging. Very narrow entry and exit along with tiny spots to be noted.

Metropole review

Lovely central hotel, excellent value, friendly and front of house staff from porter to receptionists very good at their job. Only one constructive observation, breakfast room staff appeared to be on a different planet than in the room, slow, at times for the birds, slow to attend tables, replenishing food on the self service took an iternity. They lacked some sort of supervision. But other than that hotel excellent.

The hotel main areas are in stunning condition after the refit. The rooms are in need of a definite revamp. The hotel is excellent for convenience to access travel links, being able to nip down the street or head out for something to eat lots of availablity in that respect but a good revamp in the rooms would set this hotel miles apart from the rest.
