We LOVED our special stay at the Olivar Suites, our incredible room with the private gate leading to the ocean was so special! The room was luxurious, premium, relaxing and simply fantastic. The food was consistently wonderful, as was the friendly service. There is nothing I can criticise with the location, room, service or stay. 100% perfect and we can’t wait to come back again!

We loved every moment of our stay in a junior suite with private pool at Olivar. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful with any questions asked. Welcome gift of wine, bottled water and fruit platter was a lovely touch. Room amenities were excellent, including bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, straighteners and Nespresso coffee machine. Housekeeping did a terrific job and the room had a really pleasant scent. The main pool area was very relaxing and convenient for lunch options at Flya restaurant. This hotel delivers an excellent standard of luxury and service, a wonderful haven in the centre of Messonghi.

Wonderful setting, parts of Missoghi are looking a bit dated and run down. That said there are some very good restaurants near to Olivar Suites. Staff were very attentive and polite. Breakfast is the exact same every day, could do with some mixing up the menu a bit. Restaurant was ok. All in all an enjoyable stay only really slightly dulled by the grumbling and inflexibility of the staff when we asked for an hour extension on our check out.

Mattresses are hard foam, and I woke up with a sore shoulder every day. Other than that, this place is FANTASTIC! The staff is lovely and very helpful. For Americans, please do not assume automatic checkout and billing of incidentals. You have to go into the lobby and checkout.

We stayed at The Olivar Suites for a few days. The setting among olive trees is peaceful, and our suite with a private pool was stylish and relaxing. Still, our stay had a few issues. Upon arrival, the guard seemed confused. We came with an electric car and had to walk to reception to get the charging card — unclear why this couldn’t be handled at the gate. We booked a king bed but got two singles pushed together. At night we found they were made separately, and one blanket had a visible blood stain. Staff brought a new one — but without a duvet cover. The spa experience was underwhelming. The therapist seemed rushed, the room wasn’t prepared, and the treatment felt clinical. A glass of water and a feedback form didn’t change that. Next day, when we raised the bed issue again, the cleaner refused to help and kept sending my girlfriend to reception, even though she’d been there three times. Only after she raised her voice did the issue get resolved. Later that evening, we noticed water bottles weren’t replaced. Also, the bar had no lids for takeaway coffee. Checkout was at 11:00, but we were allowed to stay until 12:00 — appreciated. Restaurant staff were warm, food was good, and the man who helped with our luggage was kind and professional. In short: beautiful place with potential, but service felt scripted. Staff ask if everything’s OK, but real help takes effort.

Great resort, but somewhat isolated (no resort shuttles vs other resorts) and not suitable for kids (pool that starts to close at 630pm for the night for 7pm dinner time….no swimming after dinner, and were met with indignation when we were told to get out of the pool, but no signs to indicate pool closure). As well, hotel is divided by busy road, with pool, restaurant, and beach located across this road (Was a security guard that seemed to look out for kids crossing the roads…cars and bikes travel at speeds in excess of road allowance). Hotel room and private plunge pool were a nice touch (beware mosquitos at night as private plunge pools are surrounded by vegetation as we found out the hard way (again disappointing that main pool is closed, that does not have lots of bugs such as the beach). Would rate the food as 3 stars, basic breakfast menu that you order off of, that does not change (opted to go off resort for lunch and dinner, as found great restaurant nearby). Also, if the gym is your thing, the gym area is incredibly small, and anymore than 3 people seems very crammed, with folks spilling out into the hallway). Overall, I would rate this hotel 4/5 if travelling as adults, and maybe a bit higher if the hotel had shuttle service (The service they contract out is reliable, but expensive for shuttle service (remoteness is why hotel concierge advised is why they hire for reliability). Again, great resort, but should have realized more an adult only resort (on me).

This is an absolutely stunning hotel with very spacious, clean and sleek rooms! The private pool area is lovely and cleaned everyday. Very well maintained hotel with excellent service and the staff are very very attentive and helpful. The hotel is full of private villas and it has a feeling of a little village. Lots of places for shopping and eating out near the hotel. Well worth the money we paid! Will definitely be returning! Thank you for an amaaaazing break Olivar suites!!!
