The lodge is filled with historical information about the CCC and it is very close to the falls! The restaurant downstairs was good and very convenient as there aren’t many restaurants nearby.

The property is very nostalgic. It was built in 1940. The building has exposed log beams, which are very appropriate for the forest surroundings. It could use some updating.

The property is nice for a retirement holiday or a family holiday. We were just a couple with an infant, so we could not do much. I liked being in between nature and that was my main reason for booking.
The place is not well maintained. It is not cleaned so perfectly but since we booked a woodland, it makes sense for some dust to have gathered, and to expect some wear an tear on the appliances.
There were no basic plates in the kitchen. We paid quite a lot so we expected atleast basic necessities. The cottage is quite basic, the TV is not a smart TV, but we watched Nat Geo smoothly. The woodland is not huge, but the patio area is okay for a breakfast sitting.
They did give us an early check in because of our infant so that is what the rating is for.
Restaurant is beautiful and has good options. Breakfast was better than Days Inn that we stayed at.
The lodge is older but overall clean. There is lodge WiFi but could not get a cel phone signal, nor could anyone else we talked to. It is located in Cumberland Falls Park and is convenient to the falls. Very peaceful and quiet. We did have to go into Corbin to eat though as the restaurant in the lodge is closed every Monday and Tuesday, which we thought a bit strange for a hotel. Definitely would stay there again if I were going to the falls.
I am 99 percent sure there was major mold in the room. You could smell it and I woke up with red puffy eyes and congested. I provided feedback but have not heard back.

Primitive Glamping
The scenery was the real hit during this stay. The cabin was clean. Thin walls, no soap, no paper towels, and the site did have a grill but did not have a fire ring. The area could have used some basic maintenance just as painting. The staff was nice but provided no information of any of the amenities or a map of the grounds. The free continental breakfast is bare bones with toast, bagels, toast, yogurt and cereal. Prices for lunch and dinner aren't marked so you will have to ask. Overall a good experience but some small inexpensive changes would take the experience to the next leval.
The state park lodge was very convenient for visiting the Cumberland Water falls and take the water rafting activity. The complimentary breakfast was really helpful as we rushed out to hiking in the morning . Would have preferred some boiled eggs or scrambled eggs for breakfast but bagels , bread and coffee were great to start the day for our family of 4. Would recommend for anyone looking to visit Cumberland falls

This is a nice place to stay. It is old and not updated, but you are there for the hiking and scenic vistas. It's beautiful but we were disappointed that there wasn't a breakfast buffet in the lodge, only a continental type breakfast.
My husband and I stopped in for the night on a road trip. The staff was great and the views were beautiful!!

Older, but comfy.
The lodge is older and needs some updates but the beds were comfy and there was plenty of room to move around. People do need to be reminded that there is no elevator though. We were on the 3rd floor, but my husband and I managed to get up the stairs.
My day was good. Staff is very friendly very beautiful park. We didn’t get to enjoy much of those amenities. We got there really late in the night. The rooms were decent. The showers were decent. The only thing that was unfortunate and that’s kind of out of their control I guess is there was no options for food after 8 PM which we did get there late the snag machines Were good but the drink machines only took quarters and had really no drinks in them so everything we wanted was out I wouldn’t mind staying here again. It was very nice place.

Friendly but outdated.
If you're interested in historic places, this is for you. The problem is that the rooms are outdated. The breakfast served was nothing to speak of, just cereal, bagels, muffins, and yogurt. It is not terrible, just outdated.
