One of the most charming boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Every amenity thought of and superbly done. The Balinese decor was very boho chic. This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size, well presented and quiet. The property was located perfectly to explore the area and in very close proximity to the rail station to explore the surrounding areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is very close to Tivoli Gardens, the train station and many bars, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are in need of updating/re-design. There was a very uncomfortable looking stone bathtub in the area with the bed which just got in the way. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice.

The location was ideal for Tivoli and where our tour started. The hotel offers laundry service which was awesome and a good price. There is no air conditioning but they do provide a fan and can give you an extra one which made it fine. We do recommend the hotel invest in black out curtains as even at night the sun is out (or be sure to pack sleep masks).

I recently stayed at the Axle Gundelson, and it was a charming and eco modern experience. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and super clean, and the toiletries were lovely. The hotel amenities were fantastic, location was perfect, and we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the hotel bar. We wished we could have stayed longer! The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
