the rooms were nice and clean. i was disappointed with breakfast. they were not refilled at 9 so was not able to tell what was offered , several platters were empty. we hang around for about 15-20 mins hoping someone will bring out new platters but they didn’t.

I had a wonderful 1-night stay at the Maternushaus. The location was perfect, within walking distance from the Cologne main train station (Köln Hauptbahnhof). The facility was very clean, and, while not fancy by any means, it had all that I needed: a very clean single room with private bathroom and a comfortable bed, TV, several electric outlets, good WiFi, etc. The included breakfast was excellent, and there's also a free drinking water station. The staff was very kind and helpful. Above all, I was very thankful for an onsite chapel with 24x7 perpetual Adoration.

Clean rooms, staff a bit dry and give judgemental looks lol. Got a coffee made for 4€ each, still the lady was rude when we asked to add more milk. Dont work if you cant handle the mood. Breakfast was average, bread was cold and no option to toast etc. The other staff was friendly. Feels a bit old

A very nice and quiet hotel with a good location. Walking distance away from the trainstation with a lot of different activities close by. Koelmnesse was also a walking distance away from the hotel.
