Great staff - super friendly and helpful with everything. Room felt like I was in the guest room of a friend’s house in terms of comfort while seeming like I was in someone’s painting as well. Location is great - centrally located for all of Cologne.

What a wonderful place! Each room is bespoke, designed by an artist. We were in the reading room and had a ball. Great location, easy walking distance to central station, Cologne Cathedral and Old town.

My friend and I stayed here, separate rooms, and both had a great stay. The staff was all friendly and helpful. I do not speak German but the staff was happy to chat in English and Spanish. The location was great and easy to get around. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Lovely place

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Good quality bedding and the shower was powerful. Easy to get to from the Ubahn too. Room was super quiet and some nice little free bits and bobs offered too.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and we loved the individuality of each artist designed room. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, we loved it.

The mattress in the room was a waterbed, presumably chosen to match the room’s design, but unfortunately it was quite uncomfortable and affected the quality of my sleep. In addition, there was a city map placed on the desk that appeared to have been previously used, with some kind of spill on it, which made the overall cleanliness feel lacking. I was also expecting to receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine as part of the Expedia VIP Access benefit, but this was not provided during my stay. On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located close to the city center, making it easy to get around. I was also very satisfied with the key system, which could be fully managed via a smartphone app, it was extremely convenient.

My friend and I stayed for one night and had a wonderful time! The room was super cute and we loved how there was a story available telling us the history of the pieces/design of the room. However, the shower/bathroom was completely visible from the bed, so make sure you room with someone you are very comfortable with if you stay here.

A really nice small hotel in central Cologne with very individually designed rooms. Very unique. And very friendly staff. Just be aware that the hotel is close to a street with lots of bars and depending on where the room is facing you might hear the noisy crowds in the night.

Perfect and quirky

Had a wonderful stay at 18Arts this weekend. Fantastic cocept, lovely room and a comfortable bed. Radio playing chilled music on entry to our room. Not an issue for us but there is no step free access at this hotel.
