Collioure, France's favourite village in 2024, is a lively, colourful and emblematic place on the Côte Vermeille. It is artistically and historically very rich, the charm of the old village of Collioure has not gone unnoticed and has been reproduced by many renowned artists such as Matisse, Derain or Marquet. Located between mountains and sea, Collioure spoils you with breathtaking views and superb beaches located in the magnificent bays. Close to the Spanish border or even closer to the large sandy beaches of Argelès sur mer stretching for kilometers, you have a wide choice of places to visit. You can be in Barcelona in 2 hours and in the city of Carcassonne in 1h30. The department is ideal for practicing multiple sports activities such as hiking, cycling, climbing and water sports, the ski resorts of the Pyrenees are 90 minutes away. There are many restaurants and bars in Collioure, let yourself be tempted by the wines of Collioure and Banyuls that are a perfect accompaniment to Catalan cuisine.
