The hotel is extremely old and is in need of an upgrade. The carpet if filthy and our room had a strong mildew odor. I messaged the hotel regarding the mildew odor and they never responded. We choose this hotel because it was advertised as having a restaurant and bar on site. 1 hour prior of to our check-in time I received a message from the hotel stating their restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner and will only be open for breakfast. After commuting 3 hours on the train for an event in the area we were looking forward to eating a nice dinner and having a drink at the bar before attending our event. However, that DID NOT happen and for us to receive that message from the hotel 1 hour prior to our check-in was very inconvenient given the traffic in the area was horrible. Additionally, when I asked to speak with a manager at the front desk, I was told that a manager will come to my room shortly. The manager never came to my room. Do not waste your time or money, please AVOID this hotel.

Our room smelled like mildew, the carpet felt sticky with shoes on, the shower and tub needed to be cleaned. We had to go to the nearest Target to buy cleaning supplies and Febreze. Rooms need to be upgraded. Staff was nice but glad it was a short stay.

Checked out of my room after staying by myself. And checked back in at 3 PM to check into the next reservation for myself and my sister. I asked about an outfit and a charger left in the room because they wouldn't let me go back and check after my first check-out. They all claim it was not found. So either the cleaning staff STOLE the items, or the cleaning staff DIDN'T clean.

I was disappointed with my stay overall. I was assigned an accessible/ADA room even though I did not request one. The shower was not a standard shower and only had a handheld showerhead that had to be manually held overhead, which was inconvenient. Another disappointment was the breakfast. The hotel advertised a complimentary breakfast that appeared to include breakfast sandwiches, croissants, danishes, and other hot items. However, the actual selection consisted only of muffins, bagels, toast, and coffee, which did not match the expectations set by the advertising. To make matters worse, one of the pillowcases had an unpleasant odor that reminded me of cat urine, making it difficult to get comfortable. On a positive note, the hotel did have an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, and a small fitness center, which were enjoyable amenities. Unfortunately, those features were not enough to outweigh the other issues, and my overall experience was disappointing.

3/5 it seemed clean and some things looked nice about the property but bathrooms need an update. There was rust and although it had a shower the shower head had no holder, forcing me to have to hold it for use. Otherwise it was quiet and decent for the quick needed stay at a reasonable price compared to prices in the area.

I chose this hotel for the indoor pool with itbeing so hot outside, it would’ve been a nice relief unfortunately the pool didn’t work the whole four days I was there. Also, the washing machine wasn’t working either housekeeping never asked once if I needed anything after being there four days. If I needed someone, I had to go to the front desk to get it.

I would not recommend staying at Sonesta Select Greenbelt College Park. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The hotel is poorly maintained and appears to be falling apart. The biggest issue was that our bathroom toilet flooded, creating an unsanitary situation. When we reported it to the front desk, we were told there was “nothing they could do” because someone had stolen the only plunger two days earlier. That is completely unacceptable for any hotel. Instead of taking immediate action, we had to repeatedly call the front desk while my husband stood there in person trying to get someone to help us. After hours of complaining and waiting, we were finally moved to another room around 10:00 p.m. No guest should have to spend their evening dealing with a flooded bathroom just to receive basic customer service. To make matters worse, the manager was rude, dismissive, and more concerned about money than the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Rather than showing empathy or trying to resolve the situation, we were treated as though our concerns were an inconvenience. This experience was frustrating, stressful, and far below the standards I expect from a hotel. Between the poor condition of the property, the lack of basic maintenance, and the unprofessional management, I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Although the room is a good size and the bed was comfortable the cleanliness was not great. Found lots of hair in the bathroom and shower, ice bucket and tray were very dusty, dirty towel on patio. Tried reaching the front desk multiple times by phone and going to the desk and no staff was present. Pool hours are terrible, open at 10 and close at 9. Hot tub jets are loud, no towels, again nobody answered at the desk, pool had lots of white floaties and hair. Lots of printed random signs all over that look unprofessional.
