This is a great hotel to stay at while exploring the Forest of Dean. The rooms were quaint and clean, the breakfast was delicious and the pub downstairs was cute.

Leah worked very well on her own couldn't see why there were so many bad reviews. Only problem we had was they weren't doing food that night as they had no staff. Good breakfast and friendly locals

Whilst it’s an old building and probably more traditional ways the way it’s run, it was clean, tidy, good position (no parking but it’s 3 min walk)no real inconvenience. So yes quite happy. No evening meal available when we stayed but one or two places close by , but carefully choose !!

Rooms at the front of the hotel need blackout curtains as there is a powerful street light directly outside. Also buses stop beneath these rooms, some stopping there with engines running for five or more minutes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
