This house is perfect. First and foremost- the view. It's actually better than the pictures show on VRBO. When we walked in, everyone ooo'd and ahhh'd, and it could NOT have been a better view to wake up to each day. The view alone is worth the price of admission. But also, the entire upstairs opens to let in the sound of the waves and the ocean breezes. Secondly, our host, Judit, was amazing. Always checking in and serving as a concierge. She arranged for surfing lessons, which were the highlight for all. She also had ATVs waiting for us at the house and arranged for shuttles to the Cobano airport. The ATVs are absolutely necessary because the house sits atop a very steep (not really walkable) hill, and at the bottom of the hill, there's at least a half-kilometer of unpaved, bumpy road till you get to a paved road in Santa Teresa. It's so bumpy that vehicles move at a snail's pace while ATVs and motorcycles zip by. Also, I didn't realize that the house would be cleaned each day. That's important, as anyone who's been on a beach vacation knows, a house can get really sandy, really FAST. At the end of our trip, I asked the family where we should go on our next vacation, and they said they wanted to do the exact same thing.
