Very loud noises from the restaurant upstairs at 11pm. Apparently they were cleaning the floors. Then loud noises again in the hallway at 4am! Sounded like building work going on all around the room.

Great find, with easy access to motorways and rail links. Was able to leave the car and get the train in to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Great for what I needed.

Room was good and Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was of a good standard (Eggs Royale) and coffee was good. Reasonably priced too as we hadn't planned to eat there. Special mention to the night staff when we checked in after 11pm on the wrong day but managed to squeeze us in anyway. It's that sort of service that can be sorely lacking in some of the Chain hotels. Top Marks

Overall a good priced hotel slightly out of the city with free parking. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable.

The staff - particularly the evening clerk who checked me in was a pure delight. The pillows are very flat. The hotel is nice, but on first arrival felt a little sketchy. There are a couple restaurants in the area, but they weren't good. It's convenient to the rail station so easy to take side trips.
