Welcome to GIOIA Lodge, an 8,400-square-foot mountain estate with panoramic pastoral and Smoky Mountain views in Clyde, North Carolina. Accommodating up to 15 guests, the lodge offers space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a peaceful mountain getaway.

Large windows and an open floor plan bring the scenery indoors. Prepare meals in the chef’s kitchen, enjoy a game of pool, or settle into the movie room for a cozy evening.

Outside, unwind on the mountain-view terraces, grill on the Weber barbecue, gather around the gas fire pit, or soak in the private hot tub beneath the terrace. Adirondack chairs and rocking chairs offer comfortable places to take in the views.

Bedrooms include extra blankets and pillows, closet space, and Roku televisions. The bedroom and dining room fireplaces are decorative only and must not be used.

LOCATION AND LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Approximate driving times are 30–40 minutes to downtown Asheville, 45 minutes to Asheville Regional Airport, and 35 minutes to the entrance of Biltmore Estate. Travel times vary with traffic, weather, and route.

Explore hiking trails, scenic drives, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, golf, and cycling. Nearby towns include Canton, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley. Asheville offers restaurants, breweries, shopping, and cultural attractions.

Maximum occupancy is 15 people on the property, including children and daytime visitors. Overnight guests must be included in the reservation. No parties or events.

No indoor smoking or vaping. Outdoor smoking is permitted; please use the designated smoker poles.

No pets, subject to applicable assistance-animal laws and Vrbo policies.

Quiet hours are 9 p.m.–8 a.m. Please respect our neighbors and do not move furniture.

Eight exterior cameras above the garage and at the front and back doors face outward. None view interior spaces.

The property includes elevated balconies and terraces. Supervise children closely. Do not climb, sit on, or lean over railings.

The hot-tub cover does not lock and is not a safety barrier. Children under five must not use the hot tub. Older children require constant adult supervision. No glass or alcohol in the hot tub. Replace the cover after each use.

Locked owner rooms, closets, the pantry, and the garage are not available for guest use.

SEASONAL WILDLIFE

As with many mountain homes, insects—including ladybugs—may occasionally enter, particularly during cooler weather. Please keep doors and windows closed when practical and notify us if you notice an issue so we can assist.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check-in begins at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Checkout is by 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

Our cleaning team handles dishes, linens, and routine trash removal. Please take your belongings and food, close and lock exterior doors, and follow the departure instructions provided.

Amazing mountain getaway

The house looked beautiful online and it was even better in person. Everything that we seemingly needed/wanted was available on property. So much room throughout the house and it was very modern and up-to-date. We would definitely book again. The communication with the owner was fantastic.

This house has everything. All the fridges you could ever want plus an under counter ice maker. Any issues we had were promptly addressed. My only disappointment was that we could not use the fireplace in the primary bedroom, however this was clearly stated in the listing. Highly recommend, we used the outdoor fireplace a lot and wood was provided. The views are amazing and the house is very large and very comfortable.

Absolutely Perfect!

If I could give the property 10 stars, I would. The home was perfectly described in the listing, but even more beautiful in person. My family of 14 were able to stay here and have everything we wanted/needed and had PLENTY of space to spread out. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were stocked with towels and necessities, the kitchen had all of the utensils and pots/pans we needed, and the grill was ready to go. Nora was an excellent host, providing great communication all along the way. We will DEFINITELY be looking to book this home again!

Great location and views all around. Spent an entire month here and had various friends' family visit. The setup was solid (although only three rooms have a view of the mountains). They do have some cameras that may point inside toward the living room area, but not sure if they are functioning or not. There is a camera at the end of the house that points toward the yard/hot tub lower level area. They should probably remove those and/or fully point them away from the house. But if you are not concerned about the cameras, this place is great.

What's Not To Love?!

Our extended family of 13 stayed here for a mini-family reunion with ages ranging from 23-90. The property was AMAZING...with stunning mountain views from the wrap-around porch. There were plenty of bedroom & bathroom configurations to accommodate our group. We took full advantage of all the amenities, playing pool, cards around the dining table, dominoes, giant connect 4 & bags. The home is gorgeous and has everything you need plus some. Nora was extremely responsive and gave some great recommendations. It was about a 40 min. drive to Asheville, but the views were worth it. We will be back!!!

We are 6 old guys riding roads on motorcycles and in cars. We need separate bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. This was by far the best property we’ve ever stayed at through VBRO. Immaculate in every detail. Very clean. Incredibly well appointed in every way including linens, towels, kitchen supplies, and always plenty of ice. Pool table and theater were fun additions. The master bed and bath are pure luxury with huge rooms and even a heated bathroom floor! The views are incredible. Never seen this level of quality with furniture, appliances and decor. We had one minor issue with low propane and Nora had a full one delivered in about one hour. She did a great job with communication throughout our stay. We’d highly recommend this property to anyone traveling anywhere within 50 miles of the area. Maybe even more if you don’t mind driving.
