We stayed in the part of the house that used to be an apartment, so we were separated from the main house with our own private entrance. That was unique, and very nice. We went into the main house for breakfast, and to visit with the dog, Sherlock, and cat, Wesley. Jim, the owner, was very hospitable and very knowledgeable of the local area. Breakfast was great! The house is civil war era built, and has a nice balance of modern amenities and eclectic decor. The house is a work in progress, so don't expect magazine photograph spit and polish, but comfortable, laid back atmosphere.
