Isolated Swimming pool in etruscan countryside; full of possibilities between Orvieto, Bagnoregio Bolsena and Umbria;
Possibility to take the train to Rome in 1h to the colosseum.
Accommodation is provided all year round. At Casettone, in the middle of the countryside between Lazio and Umbria, we offer self catering dwellings with independent access, fully equipped kitchen and shared use of the outdoor areas. Casettone is one of the original rural outbuildings - originally a cowshed and pigsty - which has been restored following sustainable principles in 2010. What could be saved of the original materials has been maintained and restored and new elements have been introduced sympathetically. Heating and hot water are provided via a heat pump. Under-floor heating is supplemented by wood-burning stoves for the winter months.

Casettone can be rented in its entirety but it has four separate and independent units (1 and 2 bedrooms are available).
Each unit has kitchen and bathroom, access and use of the swimming pool and outdoor areas and facilities .
There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. The bathroom features a shower, a bidet, and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a microwave and an electric kettle, and housekeeping is provided on request.

In die Jahre gekommenes Haus

Im Ganzen war der Aufenthalt in dem Haus okay. Sehr positiv war die Zimmeraufteilung. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad. Der Pool war von der Größe her auch super und wurde regelmäßig kontrolliert. Beim Check-In war jedoch eine Dame da, die nur italienisch konnte, sodass wir leider viele wichtige Informationen nicht erhalten haben. Erst ein paar Tage später haben wir die Besitzerin kennengelernt, sie wohnt sehr nah und ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dadurch konnten wir dann einige Dinge klären. Leider war aber durch unsere Unwissenheit das Wasser in dem Pool gekippt, sodass wir diesen zwei Tage nicht nutzen konnten. Dennoch war sie sehr darauf bedacht unseren Wünschen nachzukommen. Wir finden es aber schade, dass die Fotos nicht mit der Wirklichkeit übereinstimmmen. Das Haus ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Vieles funktionierte nicht richtig, zudem waren anfangs auch nicht genug Liegen für alle vorhanden. Diese haben wir am Ende des Aufenthalts aber erhalten. Zudem war es auch nicht sauber. Als wir ankamen lag auf den Möbeln eine dicke Staubschicht, wir mussten erst selber alles putzen, damit man sich wohlfühlen konnte. Es gab auch ein Ameisenproblem, sobald etwas in der Küche stand, was nicht fest verschlossen war, wimmelte es nach kurzer Zeit nur so von Ameisen. Auch wenn wir das Beste aus der Situation gemacht haben, würden wir einen Aufenthalt nicht weiterempfehlen, da die Fotos einfach etwas anderes suggerieren.
