Perfect winter break

We loved this cute cottage. It was pet friendly and worked well for our walks. There were nice local pubs to walk to and the owner made suggestions on where to visit. We had a wonderful hamper waiting for us which was much appreciated.

The perfect cottage in the Cotswolds

My husband and I spent a weekend at The Barn by the Ford for my 30th birthday. We had the best weekend and it was just so perfect. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed and there was even a little surprise waiting for me for my birthday! It was in the perfect location and near to everything we wanted to do. Our stay was everything we could have wished for and more.

The barn by the ford

The barn by the ford was everything we had hoped for and didn’t disappoint. A beautiful cozy cottage, with stunning walks all around. Simon and Gina kindly left us a beautiful welcome basket, and the dog treats were a lovely touch too. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Cotswolds

A beautiful cosy cottage

Beautiful, very well maintained, cosy cottage with everything we needed and more. The owners have really thought carefully about everything. A lovely welcome basket with all the essentials and even a loaf of freshly baked gluten free bread which I didn't even ask for but the owners had noted my allergy. Dog treats and bowls for the dog. Lamps and fairy lights put on to welcome us in and the owners themselves came to say hello and to ask if we needed anything. A perfect location for exploring the area and some great recommendations on where to eat out. We really can't think of anything negative. Would thoroughly recommend.

A relaxing Easer weekend

This has to be one of the best places I have stayed for a little weekend away. The owners contacted me prior to our arrival to introduce themselves and offer anything we needed. On the day we arrived, the barn was completely spotless and we were greeted by fresh bread, milk, butter, honey and all the other essentials we may need during our stay, which was brilliant (not everywhere does this). I could have packed a lot more lightly! The barn is well set up, with an open kitchen, spacious bathroom and a cosy lounge and comfy bedroom upstairs. The barn is beautifully nestled nearby a ford, which leads you to local country walks; the owner gave us some tips of some nice walks that we could do. We also explored nearby towns and villages (by car), including Great Tew, Chipping Norton and Burford. We also visited National Trust sites with our passes at Chastleton House and Stowe Gardens which were about a 30-40 minute drive. Overall, we were so impressed and we will definitely return again in the future. We appreciate everything that Gina & Simon did for us.
