Welcome to The Mermaid Lounge on Chincoteague Island. An absolutely adorable and affordable Beach getaway tucked on the ever-popular East Side - close to everywhere you want to be!

If you’re not familiar with the East Side, imagine driving down a quiet road that hugs the shoreline of the Chincoteague Channel - glancing out over the water, you will see only Assateague National Seashore and our famous Lighthouse - you may even see some ponies grazing in the marsh across the water! Grand Bay Court is in just the perfect location - you can easily stroll to Memorial Park to enjoy the Playground, Kayak and Boat Launch, Crabbing, Fishing, and more, and are just a short stroll from waterside dining at The Pearl Restaurant.

As you pull up to The Mermaid Lounge, you’ll notice how lovingly landscaped and cared for this home is. Two Blue Adirondacks on the charming Front Porch await you and a glass of Sweet Tea - kick off your flip flops and let the fun begin! This cozy home is perfect for a small family, or friends traveling together. Have a larger group? Rent The Mermaid Lounge and The Pearl at Grand Bay, just across the court!

You’ll love kicking back in the Living Area after a wonderful day exploring Assateague National Seashore - where our famous Wild Ponies roam free. Less than 10 minutes from the Beach, you’re just a hop, skip, and jump away from THE most beautiful Beach we’ve ever seen. There’s Free WiFi and Flat Screen Smart TV in the Living Area - perfect for family movie night after a day in the Sun. The Sofa is also a Queen Sleeper, just in case you need another Bed option.

You’ll be living like a Local with all the comforts of home at The Mermaid Lounge - y’all, this is so much better than a hotel or cabana! It’s a true home with a Well-Stocked Kitchen, and Full Size Washer and Dryer. The Chef will love the spacious Kitchen that has everything you need. Dine in the comfort of Central AC, or wander to one of many great dining options nearby. There’s a convenient Half Bath just off the Living Area, as well.

The Mermaid Lounge sleeps 6 comfortably. Wandering upstairs, you'll find 2 beachy Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths! The Master Bedroom is adorned with Colors of a Chincoteague Sunset, and a comfy Queen Bed with an Organic Mattress. The Private Master Bath has a Walk-in Shower. There’s even a little Sitting Area perfect for curling up with a good book.

Down the Hall, Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin Beds and is just perfect for the kiddos or 2 singles. A 2nd Full Bath with a Tub/Shower Combo is in the Hall.
