Loved the vibe at this hotel. It's clean, the beds were super comfortable and the pool/hot tub was a great activity to do in the evening. The horses on the property really add to the experience. Its proximity to the trail to Chincoteague Beach/Refuge with bike and beach rentals on the premises made it so easy for us to get out and explore the area. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed here last minute after our previously reserved room at another place flooded and closed. The staff was so welcoming and the room was well kept and clean. We had everything we needed. Including a delicious breakfast delivered to our door. The kids enjoyed the pool while my husband and I relaxed poolside. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next time.

The Refuge Inn is well located if you are going to spend time at the National Seashore. The rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy but clean and well maintained. The breakfast included with the room wasn’t the most delicious but it was edible.

We LOVED The Refuge Inn! Each room was uniquely decorated, adding to the ambience. The breakfast was delivered on time every morning and was very satisfying. The coffee was good and available all day and night. The are some horse stalls adjacent to the property and they were lovely to look at. The whole atmosphere there speaks p-e-a-c-e. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
