The “Inselglück” vacation rental consists of a large, bright living room with a cozy tiled stove and a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The apartment features a covered flower terrace that leads out to the garden. By the lake, there’s a seating area perfect for a romantic dinner or a glass of wine.

Fraueninsel, along with Herreninsel—home to King Ludwig II’s famous royal castle—and the uninhabited Krautinsel, is part of the municipality of Chiemsee, the smallest municipality in Bavaria. In this unique setting, alongside the islanders’ approximately 50 homes, you’ll find various restaurants, fish markets, and beer gardens known for their hospitality. The Benedictine monastery offers a variety of courses and seminars. Of historical interest are the cathedral and the 1,000-year-old gatehouse, which hosts rotating art exhibitions.
