Me and my Boyfriend cannot stop talking about how beautiful and marvelous this Hotel is. Location, location, location! Right in front of the largest Starbucks there is The Starbuck Reserve and close to everything else, we did about 20 minute walk to the Bean. I recommend The Riu Plaza to anyone in Chicago, the staff is so friendly and joyful, with amazing attitude, you will not be disappointed i promise you that!

No parking available, the hotel was nice, room etc. but breakfast was overly crowded, cafeteria style. They say breakfast is free with stay but then I was charged $85. When I asked what the charge was for they said for breakfast, room service etc. plus parking was an additional $150, not on site so not too pleased with the overall experience. Staff was very nice though.

Our stay at the RIU exceeded our expectations within the hotel! Only downside was that it didn’t have a parking garage. Although the parking across the street wasn’t bad at all.

The staff was helpful, courteous and very pleasant. Wonderful breakfast. My only « issue » is the extra charge for amenity use at the hotel ($28/day ) for a gym that I will never use. Having said that, I would go back to the Riu in downtown Chicago.

Everything was top tier, from the room being spotless, to the professionalism of the staff, to the breakfast buffet. I will be returning to the Chicago location and also trying the resort in Mexico soon!
