4/10 Poor

The fact that only one of the two elevators was functioning was slightly pathetic and led to long wait times. The room was incredibly underwhelming. It was much smaller than what it was made to look online. The air conditioning barely even worked. We also didn’t have a radio in our room, which had been advertised as an accessory included in our stay. The staff was slightly standoffish. Coming back to our room slightly before we had to checkout, we also noticed that even though we had the “do not disturb” sign on the door, an employee had opened our door anyway and didn’t fully close the door. This luckily didn’t result in anything being stolen, but was very unnerving to say the least. The one employee that was kind, apparently never informed the rest of the staff that she offered us a complimentary extra hour upon checkout. This led to the manager knocking on our door informing us we had overstayed our welcome as we were packing up to leave. When we explained the situation, there was no apology only stating they were never informed this. Overall, while we had a wonderful stay in the city, it wasn’t because of this hotel. I would not recommend this location to anyone staying in Chicago.
