Though the physical space of the vrbo was as described, truly a nice space and as pictured, the surrounding location is not safe. Upon arrival, after a 27 hour drive, gun shots were heard in the immediate surrounding area. We live in a city and are used to this, but this was directly in front of the apartment and/or street adjacent. Given the type of stay that was needed, coming and going at odd hours, this was not the “safe” location as described. If safety is not a priority, the space itself will be a good fit. But if it is, don’t stay here. The owner did not care for our concerns and discredited our worries, refusing to work with us. I can assure you after a 27 hour drive the last thing we wanted to do was leave and find another accommodation same day. At 4pm loading up our car there was a gun shot down the street. Luckily we have solid travel protection or we would have been out almost 5K with an owner who refused to listen to our concerns.
