Staff, Room, Breakfast, Location - our 3rd stay and nowhere better to stay in Chester!
Will return gain next year!
Brilliant location, easily accessible to everything in Chester, parking was only a few minutes away but we were able to park right outside to unload our luggage. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the hotel was most comfortable and well kept, we enjoyed our stay here immensely, thanks to all who made our trip to Chester so lovely x

Beautifully decorated rooms, super-friendly staff, and the fastest check-in/check-out process.
Upon checking in I checked that it was a twin room or the beds could be split as requested. The request had not been received but the staff were accommodating and changed our room for us without any problem, they were kind and considerate and gave us a large 3 sleeper room. The room was very clean, just a few dusty areas on plugs and toilet roll holder and a stained net curtain however, the floor was quite uneven which was a bit disorientating but no major complaints. The hotel is in a great location with lots of public parking available off site. All historic interests to see were within walking distance with the city wall walk within 3 minutes. Lots of great restaurants nearby and the hotel bar area was fantastic it even has a pool table.
Amazing space. Was absolutely PERFECT for our group and honestly really made the stay.
Did have a small issue with a pillow being unclean but they replaced quickly :)
Nice place. Well located. Room wasw rather small and the bathroom even smaller, although not an issue, if we'd been an inch bigger, it might have.
Nice staff, breakfast was very good
I was attending a conference and the hotel was within 1 15 minute walk. Staff were very accommodating, particularly the night manager who was lovely.
I'd definitely recommend the hotel to family, friends and colleagues visiting Chester.
Room was very small, shower room was really small.. you could hear the TV in the next room clearly.. the room had been recently decorated but not to a great standard. No parking at the hotel, but you could park on the main road outside between 6pm and 8am no problem. Disappointed that the staff didn’t know this. Bed was comfy and the hotel is in a good central location.

Awful experience, car park far away and expensive. Staff not friendly or helpful at all. Almost felt robbed by the experience.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Actual room was nice and big with lovely kitchen and sitting area. Unfortunately the room hadn't been cleaned properly, there was popped balloons and hen night banner left on the floor. A lot of the glasses still had lipstick on them. I would also recommend usb sockets which all modern hotels have now. Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly, although you have to pay extra for a latte rather than a normal coffee for breakfast, which considering what we paid for the accommodation and breakfast should have been included. I paid for 5 breakfasts but only 4 of us ate so a free latte wouldn't have been to much trouble

Beware
We had the bridesmaids suite as the the hotel was fully booked paid over 200 Euro, room was outdated smelling of mould ; carpets all around Hotel was worn and dated couldn’t sleep properly as the night porter was walking around all night the floor boards are creaking so load you can hear everyone walking around hotel day or night wouldn’t recommend this Hotel to anybody shoul be taken off the List.
The hotel room itself was compact and comfortable but was let down by smell of blocked drains . This may be caused by dampness from the bathroom but either way it spoilt our enjoyment. The staff in the bar where we had some drinks in the afternoon and restaurant for breakfast the following day were both very friendly , helpful and efficient
Lovely hotel , very good staff who were happy to oblige, great location and lovely garden bar. Only complaint was that it had very creaky floorboards that were not great when your upstairs neighbours returned to their room
From the minute we walked in Nicola and the staff were amazing. They welcomed a group of us and couldn't have done enough for us throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this hotel
lovely location and very nicely presented hotel with a lovely outdoor area.
The staff on reception were very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage
We had been given the 1st night of our stay as a present off our children and we booked an additional room at £144r/o pay in advance! When we checked in the receptionist could hardly be bothered on the paperwork it said we were to have room 9, but she said take no notice you have room 8! The room was so small especially the bathroom you couldn't have swung a cat! When I complained to the receptionist abd queried about the room as we could see that room 9 was much larger, she said she had originally upgraded us to room 9 but as she couldn't sell the standard room 8 she had down graded us as rhats what we had paid for! When I said we would have had better staying in a premier inn she ignored me and said she wasn't listening as I was rude! We will never stay again and would never recommend it!!!
