On arrival to reception we over heard a complaint that wasnt being handled discreetly and sounded like it hadnt been dealt with properly. The room was ok but it was cold. On returning back from an evening out we fou d the room still cold, no heating, the door handle on the inside was held on by 1 screw, and the bed lock holding the two beds together broken. I teied calling reception with no response. Wrnt diwn to reception to find a note saying night porter away from.desk use radio for attention. There was no instructions to use the radio. Night porter could only offer a small heater as fully booked which had to be left on all.night to keep the room warm which it wasnt designed to do. No offer of extra bedding. Spoke to the manager next morning who was professinal and dealt with the complaint as she should taking notes and apologising. On the plus side ahower was hit and breakfast ok but the standard of ths hotel needs to be better with some maintenance updating to fix some quite dangerous pdoblems
