We have stayed here before and decided to stay a second time , however on arrival the receptionist wasn’t very welcoming , the room we stayed in was dated and could here noise from other rooms and doors slamming and people in the hall way

No hotel seems to take any notice of reviews so I don't bother doing them, I have been staying at this hotel for over 5 years and my feeling is that it has deteriorated over this time. The reception staff see you as an inconvenience, the bar staff are more interested in chatting with the locals.

Hotel staff were good. Hotel itself slightly shabby. Lift couldn’t stop on floor 2 going up but would on going down. Wood in corridors and rooms scratched. Breakfast hot food server was broken. Temporary rig set up in dining room. It was ok and convenient for the price.

Flawless hotel, clean and spacious room, warm, dark and very quiet eventhough we stayed on New Year's eve. The bar area was excellent too and breakfast outstanding. As for the staff, every single person we came across that night was delightful, really friendly and we had a lovely time. Highly recommend.
