Cheap for a reason There was no food available as the restaurant was closed for refurbishment (without any prior warning) there was no hot water in my room (seems common now I’ve read other reviews) for most of the time when there was the shower was unusable as it was so hot. The WiFi kept dropping out. Staff were unhelpful about my issues. Thank god it was 1 night, back to IHG for me

Staff were great, gym was well kitted out and the room on the whole was very nice. The bathroom was very dated and in need of a refurb. I'd booked this hotel as it had a bar and restaurant... closed for refurbishment and not advertised. Very annoyed at that. Breakfast was extremely disappointing... Packets of instant coffee, very little choice of anything to be fair . I didn't want a cooked breakfast but this was the only real option and it wasn't great either.
